Be happy to take Turbo off their hands.

We’ve probably got enough fullbacks.

I know Dylan Walker is a piece of shi# but the kid can play, and the sharks have a habit of signing players I detest. I’d take him off the hands and let Ricky go.

You would grab cordner if u could negotiate some sort of deal where year 1 he isnt getting a huge pay day to sit it out.

Sounds like a pre-requisite for a blues captain. You don't want your captain playing more than 15 club games, period.

Anyway back on topic :topic

Article today saying Trent Barret is the reason Mitchell Pearce wants to go to manly. It’s his first choice and will go there if manly can match the offers sharks and the knights have put on the table. Manly are scrambling to offload a player and put together a back ended deal the NRL will approve. Could take a few days but manly are confident they can match the figures. Sharks sitting on their hands waiting to see if manly can front up the money. If manly can’t then the sharks are his preferred option, all be it his back up plan...

It's interesting as Danny Weilder reported yesterday that no clubs have made formal $ offers to Pearce, apparently all talk at this stage. Pre-season has already kicked off though so whoever wants him prob wants to do the deal sooner rather than later

For his own good, Pearce needs to make a quick decision and get on with it.
I Still think he will end up at Manly thou.

You seriously wouldn't take Turbo?

I think that if we signed Turbo it would definitely end any chance of Val getting the fullback spot. Turbo would have it sewn up for over a decade. At least if Moylan went to fullback there would still be an option for him to move to 5/8 in the future.

In truth though, we lost Val to sign Turbo I could live with that. He is younger and is already looking a lot more comfortable playing fullback in the NRL.

No way on earth they would ever release him though, but nice to think about.

Yeah he's not leaving Manly, I was just being cheeky.

It is understood Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, Cronulla Sharks and Newcastle Knights are the final contenders despite expressions of interest from at least three other NRL clubs.

Most clubs have been back training for almost a month and Pearce is keen to begin pre-season preparations with his new teammates, which is why a decision is expected to be made this week.

Pearce has to decide whether he wants to join a developing team like the Knights, who are likely to offer the most lucrative contract of the three biding clubs, or link with one of two 2018 title contenders.

The Sharks are arguably closer to a premiership next year than their northern beaches rivals, however Pearce lives closer to Manly and also has a strong relationship with Sea Eagles coach Trent Barrett from their time together playing for NSW.

Pearce is understood to be concerned about the NRL salary cap investigation into Manly and is monitoring the situation closely.
