I'd say he is referring to hit ups.

Kid doesn't have even a serviceable kicking game. If someone else wants to pay him halves money, good luck to 'em.

I see a bit of Dougy/Snowden appearing here. Bird being Snowden and Val being Dougy. One makes a lot of noise and the other none. We run around trying to secure and make the noisy one happy while the other is only quiet because he's not talking to us.

We all know how it ends.

except their contracts end in different years. No need to begin negotiations with Val now, his manager would never allow it anyway. He will certainly be testing the market.

Good start. We might be learning... or just fortunate for once.

Ahhhhhh, the Dougie and Snowden saga. I remember how devastating it was at the time to lose them both....

Not disagreeing with you mate, but do you honestly think one Kade Snowden would be our answers to a premiership?

I must admit I haven't seen him play since he towelled us up in 2012 I believe. I assumed he had gone downhill due to lack of rep games, maybe I'm wrong though.

i just think if we get bird roaming, lewis and graham on the edges, leutele and beale working with the combos they have built, and a spine of barba, maloney, ct and ennis, we are a better team than having bird at fb or centre

That could very well be the best way to use him for everyone's benefit. Could be very interesting to see how all this pans out and a real test of Flanno and Coaching staffs, people management skills!

That's not so much the point though. If we start putting other people in front of val and not prioritising him, he wont want to renegotiate at all.

BBC Sport are reporting that England rugby union centre Sam Burgess has been granted leave by club side Bath to consider his future in the code.

According to BBC Radio 5 live's Alastair Eykyn, the former South Sydney Rabbitohs star will make a decision on whether to return to league - and a potential reunion with his former NRL club - in the coming days

Souths would surely have to offload a player or two if this eventuated. We should start sniffing around now if possible, Grevsmuhl would be nice. Under contract until 2016 so would coincide with dad's army retiring.
