Can anybody confirm whether you can attend the AGM without being a voting member?

(i.e. my three years qualifying period for voting rights hasn't yet been reached - currently at 1.5 yrs). I am a member of the Leagues Club, though, if that makes a difference?

I was in Sydney for the game yesterday, but am considering making the trip again for this AGM, but don't want to be knocked back by the bouncers...
Hi mtk, yes you can go to the meeting if you are a leagues club member.

The first part is the leagues club meeting where you are able to vote on motions. This is the meeting most people go to, and which runs the longest. The second meeting is the football club meeting - generally leagues clubs members are allowed to stay and watch this, but not participate. It is generally much shorter and covers the same issues as the leagues club meeting.

We need as many people to get to this as possible. Show their support for the board.

<EDITED>

DARK SHARKS

Fireworks are expected at tonight's Cronulla Sharks AGM but there will be no change to the board as the directors are not up for election for another 12 months. Since the resignations last week of coach Ricky Stuart and chief executive Richard Fisk, a lot of questions are being asked about the direction of the club. One issue likely to be raised is why Sharks group CEO John Osborne quit in March after only three weeks in the job. ''There is an AGM tomorrow night and I suppose we will get a lot of answers to things there,'' Fisk told ABC radio. ''I'm sure from different conversations that were had with me last night, and certainly a whole variety of phone calls that I have received, some different views and points will be advanced I would imagine over the next 48 hours.''

According to previous posts -
Ricky left because he couldnt get money to buy players due to sharkies saving money to keep afloat.
Fisk left because of the same reason but his money was needed for marketing.
But why did osborne leave? Wasnt he pushing the development through?

Yes you will, anyone who is a leagues club member can get in (being a season ticket holder does not give entry though).

2 questions I'd love answered.

1. Did junior ref funding get cut?
2. How many junior league training visits have our players attended over the past 12 months?

Cheers

Are you the dude that just rang 2SM? He/you was pretty riled up about it.

To be honest, I thought the answer to his rant was pretty obvious... the club is strapped for cash and if junior league mums and dads want a local first grade club, they need to contribute more to the cost of their kids sport.

The junior league guy got me thinking; I just couldn't understand why he was so upset.

If he is representative of how junior league mums and dads in the Shire feel, then we have a problem. They are not going to be bringing up their kids with good feelings about the Sharks.

It's simple he's not a Sharks supporter. He's a total **** wit. Been on a lot and showed his credibilty by stating the Gallen has a get out clause and wants to go to Manly. Gallen has no get out clause!!!

if we have to cut junior funding to survive than so be it, i wonder how many of these upset people are members of the footy club and leagues club might not be populaur, it needs to be both ways we need as much support as they do..

lol that guy that rang that is supposedly a coach is a knob.

If he is a coach and was so worried about it why hasn't he come to the club and asked questions I would have I would have found a way to get into touch with Irvine one way or another and got to th bottom of things.

He wasn't even aware of the meeting start time his excuse was that he didn't finish work until 19:00 and couldn't go he probably isn't a member of the club anyway.

Telephone and keyboard Heros I just love them.

Mate if we have guys like this coaching teams in the junior leagues we are in serious trouble no wonder no talent is coming through the ranks if they cant pick up the phone and make some enquires then well what can I say.
