I can't make it due to work but the question I'd have is what is going on with the development and if there was any truth to the stuff in the papers about tension between Ricky and the board leading up to Ricky's resignation and what is the score with those 6 players with contract clauses as well.

Well, hopefully it's a case that all the board is just working busily behind the scenes and letting Damian Irvine present the unified front. If so cool... but I'd be interested to know what role the other board members are taking and whether all are putting in like he is. Probably wouldn't be addressed in an open meeting, but may be worth a try. I also recognize that their job is now as totally voluntary as anything we do here... If we can one day afford the honorariums, I'd like to see them come back sooner rather than later.

Also with a number of marginal seats in the Shire for both State and Federal government elections, are we any chance of getting any cash from the Labor governments or incoming Liberal State government? Peter Costello gave us plenty. Labor's been good in the past... but it's been a while. ;)

C'mon Barry Collier, stop putting in traffic lights and get us some cash! If not cash, give us our pokie taxes back.

Who is going to the sharks agm?

I thought it might be good idea to see who is going to the agm, so the people on this site can be represented and get some questions asked.

Such as:-
1. Are there concerns still for the long term future of the club or has this been resolved through the great number of sponsors we have got this year?
2. When do we start seeing some major inroads and seeing finances from the development?
3. Why are our main administrative staff quitting?
4. And again - Do we have anything to worry about?

I am not saying the sky is falling down but the latest delevopment with fisk does concern me and I feel that as a member, fan and supporter of this great club I (or we) have a right to know what is going on.

Don't waste your time asking questions like that mate. Ask questions like the others you have there, ones that give you information. Whether you should be worried by the conclusions you draw from that info is your business.

The actual 2009 report showed some of this last year they have been broken up into sub committees finance etc it also showed the attendance for the the board and these committees, so you may not get any more info until the next report but from what I had seen attendance was high.

I agree

Yes, I just have one question: "What the **** is going on over there!!??"

Oh yes, I do have one further question: "Can you please tell me when we expect to be winning a premiership as I will need to book a day release from the mental health unit of Sutherland Hospital."

:dougy:

Hang in there Iron, you're a good man of sound mind, I know that from watching the youtube footage of your presentation to SFP, and you won't need that Hospital release!

Get to the AGM, bail the Chairman up at the bar afterwards if you don't want to ask questions publicly, but I know where things are going and I know we'll be OK. After Monday night, you will too.

no probs - I just wish that the club would represent some sort of stability even if there isnt, so we can attract players. I think its not right that Ricky has quit mid season or announced it mid season, I think it puts potential recruits off. That combined with fisk, that other guy who quit (the guy who steered the development proposal) and Ricky quitting is too much and unproffessional. Should of been handled in off season, after recruiting. My opinion is this - if these people want to quit -let them, but incorporate into their contract that if parties go their seperate ways it is handled in house and at a time that is most beneficial for the club. I find it a little bit ****ed that Krisnan Inu, Tolman, Michaels and who ever else have not signed and I think the above mentioned goings on more than likely played a deciding part.

I think its ****ed that now the team have played a good brand of footy for 2 weeks that the administrative side of things appears to fall apart. Give us a break sharks.

Sorry but its hard being a sharks supporter.

I wish I was going to the agm - if there is some sort of forum for members to ask questions I think somebody should voice the concernas broght up on this thread.

Can anybody confirm whether you can attend the AGM without being a voting member?

(i.e. my three years qualifying period for voting rights hasn't yet been reached - currently at 1.5 yrs). I am a member of the Leagues Club, though, if that makes a difference?

I was in Sydney for the game yesterday, but am considering making the trip again for this AGM, but don't want to be knocked back by the bouncers...
