Prior was pretty poor last year too although for a value for money perspective we probably would have been better shipping off Fifi and keeping Prior

Yeah but I feel Prior was more reliable. He was a consistently solid forward for 90 percent of his career with us.

your right, why isnt Fifita working from home?

Yeah but generally he looks cooked out there. Maybe we should've let him go and kept Prior?
he had maybe 2 decentish runs but didn't bring much to the table beyond that
wasn't the full on penalty/mistake magnet of old but he still didn't add much of value and he took minutes Rudolf could have been productive in

perfect example of coach playing favourites when it isnt called for. surely professional coaching staff can see he is looking beyond it now if we can
Love the big boy but do the club actually expect him to regain his old form and fitness? if not what is his role now considering how much power and agility he has lost. just plod it up the middle? we can get anyone to do that

So basically no because Cronulla
Cronulla would find a way to break a rule and get busted 5 yrs down the line for it

that generous mate - he was amazing in 2016 and had some good games in seasons either side but from 2018 onwards he became a shadow of himself and injury didnt help him at all last year. prob would have been more effective than fifita this year all the same but thats cause Andrew has fallen so far

It's grim
He's gunna chew up cap (and not meters) for another 1.5 - 2.5 years for us and we will all remember him as the guy who ****ing sucked for us for years, but scored a good GF try

In your head, rent free
i thought he was good in the opening stint but bad in his second

needs to move to the bench

his runs in the opening passages had a lot of impact and purpose

Just to add some clarity here

12 runs for 116 metres (11.6 per carry)
23/25 tackles (92% efficiency)
0 errors
43 minutes

Those aren't bad numbers for a bloke with no knees, if you were to average out those numbers to his old minutes (65 a game) he would still be putting up 150 and 35 a game

I'm not saying he could play those minutes anymore, but to say he's completely done is a bit of a stretch, personally I would still rather him start and bring Woods on a bit later into the game so he doesn't get caught up in the early niggle and ruin the rest of his stint

Fifs definitely ran with intent. Defence is more my concern.,he looks like he's struggling big time to get sideways to cover, and that flop... when refs start to notice that he does it on just about every tackle (complete or not) we're going to start seeing more 6-agains and penalties. He's trying to contribute however he can I guess, but he didn't get away with it pre rule changes, and there's even more reason to penalise it now.

He actually was solid for the most part
Except for his pay we could easily get two blokes who'd get close to those numbers, or better yet get one and spend the rest to upgrade our halfback.

Fif also only made 32 PCMs which is a good indicator his knee is cooked (can't generate power)

Woods ran 14 for 156 (53 PCM) in 54 minutes
Rudolf ran 14 for 147 (39) in 39mins
Williams ran 10 for 115 (42) in 42 mins
BHU ran 8 for 95 (29) in 36 mins

Fifs numbers don't suggest he should be paid far more than most of these guys are.

I thought most people agreed he is average now

Everyone except him
Just providing the link for contrast, not because I think anyone here actually needs to see the difference
it actually hurts a bit watching it wishing he could play like that now
