Peter Sharp was on Triple M after the game. You could tell by his response and tone in his voice Fifita is gone. He said they are expecting an answer tomorrow and he hasn't told the team what he was doing. There was no 'we've put a good offer in' no 'we are comfident' it was almost a concession.

Andrew johns interviewed Fifita and afterwards said on air Fifita asked him not ask him about his contract negotiations.

However even before tonight I didn't think he was worth 800. I do hope we up the offer for Lichaa now.

How is he being bitter, it's the truth, the money is better spent on a half back and back unless Fifita could reproduce 2013 form consistently every game then there would be a good argument for paying him the big bucks
And that's not rubbishing Andrew either, he remains a talented young prop but we can't expect him to pull a rabbit out of the hat each and every game to make up for the deficiencies our team has in other key areas which do need attention.

Sayin he had a **** game is like sayin our centres had a **** game, im pretty sure leutele and ayshford can wear the same clothes again next week, wont find any dirt or grass on them but that's what happens when our 6 and 7 are no good

No I can remember what he can play like. Didn't do it tonight!! The crowd was happy to call him a 'dog' tonight in the ET stand.

Based on tonight's performance he can go on that money. We would be better off trying to outbid the other team on ref payments. What does it cost to get the refs to ignore the offside and forward pass rule for one team?

We had absolutely nothing in attack, just like the Tigers trial! The forwards made no meters at all which does not help.

I have no interest in bad-mouthing him at all. He's an amazing player, and I hope he stays with us.
In saying that, I dont feel (personally) that he's worth 800K a year, or a similar figure.
I recall Bennett, when hed just signed with Knights and Tinks had offered Kade 450K or whatever it was. He said that no prop was worth more than 350K. Any chump can run forward, and you keep your dollars for the players that make a difference in every play.
Now Fifita is no average prop, I think we can all agree on that, and in a club such as ours without tons of ability it would certainly be a shame to lose him, but again, he's not worth ridiculous $$$.
He either stays for decent money, or goes for good money. And if he does that latter, I wish him well, and the club he ends up signing for not so well, haha.
Some may be bitter. Im not. but I dont want us to throw the bank at him either, as it would be just plain stupid.

look for a player to ask for over 700k a year he has to dominate 90% of the games he plays in. In the other 10% he has to at least do the basics right.
He went back to his sideways **** in attack and his defence was ineffective; attempted big hits that allowed them quick play the balls

You half wits seem to forget we were getting smashed in possession and could of easily been down by more very early. They did well to hold them out. We have a lot of players out and it will take a while for us to regroup but I don't think a 6 point loss is anything to carry on about
