Fifita has been given a breach notice. Whatever that means.

Fifita issued breach notice

By Staff Writers
December 13, 2016

The NRL has concluded its investigation into Andrew Fifita over his support of one-punch killer Kieran Loveridge.

Fifita fronted up to the Integrity Unit today following the receipt of information from NSW Police last week, and has been issued with a breach notice for his on-field support of a convicted criminal during the NRL season.

The NRL statement says the Cronulla prop has five business days to respond to the allegations in the breach notice.

NRL boxed themselves into a corner .Had to come up with some sort of please explain after NOT getting more damming evidence than 3 letters placed in forearm that nobody even knew what it meant. Also I really hope Grant gets the heave hoe after commenting on the matter .He is an arrogant tosser who will never get another gig if sacked.

This will all come to nothing (as it should). The NRL will look very silly if they give him a harsh punishment after he has played the grand final. It is all too late if he had done something serious, and aside from banning writing rubbish on your arm, a waste of everyone's time.

This **** was on his arm until like May? Then it became a problem in September. Now they've pissed about until almost Christmas and Andrew has 5 days to respond?

And respond with what? All the **** he's already answered during his media trial? He did it, he admit it and he explained it. The NRL spoke with him, the Club, the cops, the jail - even tried to have a yarn with Loveridge himself for ****s sake!

Have they given any indication as to what the punishment may be?

Just say "yeah, so? " and be done with it. It's not like it's worthy of a harsh punishment. Seriously, a warning would be sufficient

Fury over Everton footballer Tim Cahill's on-pitch gesture of solidarity with thug brother who left a man blinded

Millions watching on TV were puzzled when Everton footballer Tim Cahill celebrated a goal by putting his wrists together as though they were handcufffed.
He explained after Sunday's game that it was a gesture of support for his brother Sean, who is serving a jail sentence.

"I am just proud that he is happy and I am happy and I'm thinking of him always," said the Australian international.

Christopher Stapley, 31, lost the sight in one eye when 29-year-old Sean Cahill kicked him twice in the face as he lay defenceless on the pavement after an unprovoked attack in July 2004.

Mr Stapley's mother Pamela, 55, said at the family home in Orpington, South East London last night: "We just want to move on. Chris doesn't know about what happened on the football field and I don't want him to."

Asked how she felt about Sean Cahill being depicted as a martyr by his brother, she said simply: "That is for the Cahill family."

An Everton spokesman denied that Cahill's celebration had been inappropriate, but admitted: "I am sure Tim was fully aware that some people would not be in favour of what he did before he did it".

Its now finished, fined, he relaxes, learns a lesson, livelihood preserved. All good, reckon its a good result personally. He will play Origin and test footy next year after a huge 2017 season.

As per usual with all footballers, he probably won't even pay the fine out of his own pocket.

Peter Sterling did a rant about it a while back and there was an article also about it a while back in the tele.

Clubs end up paying it and the players rarely ever cover it.

Might have been the 'bigger' clubs though.

Kind of like the 'punishments' clubs make players go through, community service or this or that.... it never gets done - you only need to reference the information leaked from the board member to Carney to see how it all operates. PR to keep the media/fans happy.
