I thought he did very well to hold his cool tonight and walk away, especially in the final 5 or so when the Storm players practically formed a line to stir him up about a dropped ball.

He was the first player to walk over and clap the away bay tonight. Hope he noticed us all rise to our feet and give him a rousing response.

Neither do mine , but if you had a drunk mate belt someone and they died . Would you support them .Yes or No

Thats not what happened in this case. F. K.L went out to deliberately King hit an innocent kid, my mates dont do things like that. If they did, they could rot in hell.

Anyway, to support his bad behaviour as a club, you promise that the issue will never go away. The best policy is punish, apologise, move on. Will this save him in the long run ???

I sent this to the NRL .

NRL ,
I am writing this mainly to be forwarded to the integrity unit .
I plead with them to not just react to the News Corp and a few other journo's articles written calling for blood and blowing the whole Fifita issue out of proportion, , from what the actual facts are .
The IS an agenda there against the Sharks that has been obvious for quite some time . Lucky Andrew Webster's Fairfax's article today pretty much sums up the reality

http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/rug...t-turn-my-back-on-a-mate-20160902-gr7j27.html

If someone close to you does something hideous , perhaps in a moment if madness and goes to jail .You have two options . Write them off or support and hopefully assist in rehabilitating them
As an ex- coach of the person , Fifita chose the later Wearing 3 initials on his forearm standing for For JL is NOT bringing the game into disrepute itself . Just a public yet private showing of support between the TWO only . Fifita should NOT be crucified for that .
No matter what the person's social standing .especially with initials only , he at no stage intended wounding the victims family and no one would be the wiser .
As for consorting with people consorting with criminals ,.The police warned him privately , that should have been the end if story BUT somehow someone leaked it to the press ( a police connection ) and they took that opportunity to nvestigate the initials and SPRAY this information to the whole world .THEY are the ones damaging the game and hurting the victims family .THEY are the ones accountable PEASE don't don't punish Andrew Fifita and the WHOLE long suffering Sharks fans for an act of mateship that no one else should have known about and like most player do week in week out .
Perhaps you could ask the press for their reasons for even reporting this in the first place and is it in the best interests of the game .
Let's just play footy
Thankyou

Perhaps a few others could send your thoughts in addition to this

NRL Response ,

Thanks for your email.

The NRL will always take a tough stance on any matter which brings the game into disrepute because we want to grow the game and we will not tolerate any behaviour that has the potential to drive fans away. To this end, the Integrity Unit is currently looking into the matters relating to Andrew Fifita.

We will continue to work with police to ensure that criminal elements do not infiltrate our game and players are aware they cannot put themselves in a position where they may damage their own reputations and that of the game.

There are times when we are far from happy with how papers report on our game but the reality is that we do have a free press and we simply need to work to get our view across within that environment. Most readers would see it for what it is.

We appreciate that you have strong feelings on this matter and I will ensure that your comments are registered.

Thanks again for taking the time to write to the NRL.

Kind regards

So did they mention the spaces before the full-stops or commas?

What about comma, followed by the full-stop?

My initial letter was written fairly hastily and proof read on a mobile phone .
(then again, not much different than my normal grammar)
I hope they really did at least forward the sentiment to the Integrity Unit .
