We are doing the nice guy thing when the hot girl gets dumped by the bad boy.

If you think Fifi is a good comparison to girl that's been dumped, I am willing to bet you have had your fair share of drunken blowies from some really ugly chicks in the car park.

If the Sharks club sign Fifita for the amount of money they offered in the bidding war against the Bulldogs then they are even more incompetent than I thought. Any more than $450,000 a year in my opinion is massive overs.

In effect the Dogs have been bluffing in a high stakes game of poker and have artificially inflated Fifita's value before crying wolf and running away from the table.

This turn of events should give everyone (except Fifita) a chance to step back and appreciate how ridiculously out of hand the whole thing has become. Union officials are already backing away from any commitment to pay Fifita that sort of money to play their code. If the Bunnies offer $500,000 a season to Fifita then I say let him go for it.

Fair dinkum, this club isn't in the position to throw around money like confetti when we have no major sponsors, no decent backs, no decent coach, and a (potential) million dollar fine from ASADA's contribution as well.

The whole Fifita saga is just ridiculous and normally I would find this hilarious except I'm painfully aware of the buffoons that are running this club into the ground who may just continue the way they have been.

Sounds like the making of a good offer to table, Sharkster.

$500k per year, a car, and a drunken blowie in the car park from slide rule.

I reckon the dogs got the decision right in the end even if it looks a bit amateurish. 700k is too much.
