I know I’m going to get accused of being biased, but honestly, this is the best team in A-League history.

Serious question mate but does it actually mean anything? It's not like we have the same history or depth as in the UK?

It’s a new competition, the clubs like the concept and all the players played themselves into the ground for 120 minutes, I’d say it probably doesn’t have the same value as the Championship. But it definitely matters, probably a better question to ask me in 10 years time. It’s also unique because approximately 926 teams officially take part in the tournament.

Yeah I imagine it would be great for non-A League teams.

France, Peru, Denmark and Australia.

That's our group for the World Cup.

Not too bad actually.

Yeah could be worse.

Out first game is v France at 8pm our time on a Saturday night. Unfortunately Sharks v Brissy at home same night.

The Poms have a nice group.

Peru and Denmark are probably a rung or two ahead of the Socceroos on the food chain so to speak, but they’re a definite chance to get out of that group. Peru already writing us off, thinking we’re another New Zealand.
