I thought we should keep all the Aussie Football talk in one thread.

Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory look the teams to beat again, WS and Jets should be big movers this year. Wellington and Mariners could struggle hard this year. I still think Sydney FC will go back to back, but definitely not as dominate on the account of the improvement of the other teams rosters.

1. Sydney FC
2. Melbourne Victory
3. Brisbane Roar
4. WS
5. Melbourne City
6. Newcastle Jets
7. Adelaide United
8. Perth Glory
9. Central Coast Mariners
10. Wellington Phoenix

Champions: Sydney FC
Runners Up: Melbourne Victory
FFA Cup: Sydney FC
ACL: (Sydney FC): Quarter Finals (Melbourne Victory): Group Stage
Johnny Warren Medalist: Milos Ninkovic back to back.

In your head, rent free
havent kept up with transfers

sydney keeping bobo, brosque, ninko, the midfield and the CB's makes them contenders

vuka probably brings us back to the crowd

redmayne has been good this pre-season

Looks like the Polish guy Mierjewewew........Mierjewejewjej.......Mierjewufjwbfhshd........................Adrian, is a big upgrade on Holosko. We've also picked up Retre a utility and a very good young midfielder in Kalik.

Holosko suited Arnolds style of play with his work ethic. Adrian is a much better player holosko my problem is him and ninkovic will overlap each other skillset wise and with the general age of the team I think we may get outrun by someone like victory or WSW.

I dont think the loss of Vuka brings us back to the crowd rather the recruiting of Victory has bought them to Sydneys level. For me right now victory have the best team on paper when factoring calibre, depth and age

And a 900 year old right back

Say what you want about Holosko, he could flat out play

Never said I didn't rate Holosko. I just think Adrian is a big upgrade. But like girds said, let's see how he fits in. But from what I've seen so far, he's an upgrade.

Yeah I forgot about Wilkshire. We have options though if he doesn't cut it.

hilarious, he couldnt have picked a better time to jump ship

Just hoping they don't go after Rudan. I don't think I could fathom seeing the big blue man in red and black. But after meeting him after the GF last season, his passion for the Sky Blue is still as strong as ever. But you never know.

I thought Milicic would probably be favourite for the gig, but Josep Gombaeu will definitely be in the frame.

Rudan is not even close to needing the quality to be an a league coach, would disastrous for WSW to get him.

Surely Ante and Gombau are the logical choices

I dunno, he’s done a pretty decent job with Sydney United. Also if Sydney FC didn’t get Arnold, Rudan was the next choice. He’s thought of very highly in the coaching circles.

The front three are still gelling. Adrian’s going to be a beast when the team works him out. Good signs for our defence. Wilkshire had some shaky moments but I’m generally happy with what I saw. I like the look of Retre as well, looks a good bargain signing.

With Uniteds budget he should have done much better. Whilst he was at Rockdale his reputation was high considering he changed the teams fortunes, however around the NSWPL his reputation has taken a hit the last two seasons.

I know some players love playing for him as he is a players coach but others are not overly convinced with his style of play
