Maybe initially, dunno if it works long term.
Ive literally got silenced most rugby league media now. Even on twitter i have blocked foxsports just so i dont have to see it. The way they bombarded us will Nicho hate articles every hour for weeks in the back end of the season last year was absolutely disgusting. No player in the NRL deserves that much negativity especially not one who was returning from a broken leg who instantly had form questioned. ****in tabloid journos

I'd love to see their Google Analytics. I reckon clicks would be way up but engagement would suck. That's terrible for organic traffic but they probably don't care about that anyway, seeing most of their content has a 30 minute lifespan at best

Agree. I wish their revenue stream was based on actual clicks on the advertising within the article - not simply just clicking into the article itself.

I mean a 2 for our depth feels fair

Using their scale
Berrell is about a 2
Ison is highly touted but young and has one game; 3
Dykes; talented prospect but no footy in two years; 2
Puru; young serviceable half but nothing special imo, 2
Atkinson is a 3.5 at best to me

12.5÷5 is an average of 2.5. So possibly been ripped off half a point but they're in the right ballpark

Only website that would make money then is nrl.com
When I look at game stats there is always this slow to load in ad that appears just as a click on the page

I honestly couldn't think of the time I've intentionally clicked on a webpages advertising

Well there was that Ad on pornhub once I clicked for a cream that guaranteed a 12 inch penis.

I decided not to buy in the end though as I didn't like the thought of a penis reduction.

Similar, though I bought those girls and extra cup. Thought they'd appreciate not having to share

We're up at the Fairmont in Leura. The entire Manly squad is here as is Mick Ennis. Hope he feels dirty!

Is this us?
Lots of people assuming its Sharks.
Wouldn't suprise me with the issues around the leagues club and lack of income there

Were the obvious candidate but you’d hope not especially with the extra funds from the US last year

The only Sydney clubs that won comps in the 2010s are St George, Manly, Roosters, Souths, and Us.

You can rule out Roosters and Souths as they are well-backed financially. Manly have rich owners too, don't they? It doesn't leave many options...

Well it's either:
Dragons
Manly
Sharks
Roosters
Souths

NRL purchased Quest Apartments but that was technically through the developer- not us (though that would stop the media spin).

No doubt the dragged on development and lack of leagues club would be a massive black whole in our finances.

Then again, we only recently purchased Kareela Golf Club and the property in Cronulla mall.

These days banks are extremely cautious when lending money so you would think they wouldn't go near us if there was any doubt.

I also doubt we have been over spending the last few years.

Make of it what you will, but I'm not going let some anonymous article bring down the start of what can be an amazing year for the Sharkies!!!

The quest purchase was also in 2023 so I wouldn't think that's the assest in question

The Dragons would have to be near the top of the list, surely? Didn't they lose their major sponsor? I reckon the NRL would be happy to see the back of them

Are they a Sydney club or Wollongong though. I suppose if the post said which Wollongong club ... the mystery part wouldn't work so well ...
