And Good opportunity's for those 2004ish born. Watched 3 young players i know well in the Storm V Bulldogs trials a couple of weeks ago, given a run..
Yeah 100%. 2003-2005 kids have jumped the queue to a certain extent. There will probably be more guys who play regular NRL this year from the 2022 Aus schoolboys (2004) than from the 2020 team (2002)... even though that 2020 team had some prospects who everyone said were absolute shoe-ins.

Best u keep those opinions private… u know he and the refs hate us 😉
It's funny that people actually think this. Gus would likely know a lot of the Sharks players personally and I think his son still works for the club (he did last year).

The same podcast he actually says that he doesn't see the Sharks losing finals games as an issue. He says that all good teams have to learn how to win big games, and it is part of the process of learning and growing.

Yep. People attach themselves to a certain agenda and then can't let it go. It's exactly the same with people saying Brandy hates us. I've seen/heard zero evidence of him talking about us any differently to other teams.

Haha yeah - Brandy doesn't hate us. He's just not that good a commentator. One game I remember him calling out the refs for missing an obvious penalty for a chaser in front of the kicker. Bloke was the kicker.

Brandy hates anyone who isn't the Panthers which is fair enough and I agree he's a terrible commentator

Does anyone know if the Vegas event is going to be an annual one? And whether other teams would go next time?

I guess it probably depends on how successful it all is, but at this stage it's supposed to be an annual thing.

Yeah they signed a 5 year contract I believe. I imagine if it flops maybe it wont continue though.

Corey Parker says he has consulted a brain doctor … who says 90% sure Corey has CTE.

Also says that he would feign injury to a different body part whenever he got a head knock.

Neither are surprising.

Anyone else feeling a little underwhelmed by the Vegas opening? I like the idea of it, just wish it was a full Rd 1 this weekend.

I feel like you could give those teams the bye in week 2, and have them cross over week 3 to the same effect. Have four less byes over origin or something.

I guess in that circumstance Vegas wouldn't be the 'opening'.

Yeah I'd prefer a full round but I can see why they've done it this way, better to have more byes over Origin for mine which is when teams really need it.

I feel like five years of it will get old for Aussies.
At least the game air at a friendly time... actually, they're better than the usual times! Maybe we should move the whole comp over as Roy and HG suggested!
