He's saying that future decision-makers will be from private schools. It's an elitist attitude that ends up with people getting opportunities due to who they know rather than what their capacity is. That's a net negative and a **** attitude to have from my perspective.

Also I very weird thing to say when a large portion of NRL fans are working class people and/or went to public schools.

He's not exactly wrong. He never said they were better or even good decision makers, just that that's where a lotta them come from.

The Sydney Roosters are planning to travel to the plush Bel Air $53 million estate of billionaire Afterpay founder Nick Molnar as part of the club’s build-up to the NRL season-opening double-header in Las Vegas.

Molnar, 34, was named Australia’s youngest self-made billionaire in 2022 after creating the global Afterpay empire now worth $14.76 billion.

Molnar played SG Ball at the Roosters many years ago before attending Sydney University and will host the Sydney Roosters entire travelling party including all players, coaching staff, fellow self-made billionaire chairman Nick Politis and several board members.

It’s a nice touch from Molnar to roll out the red carpet and break-up the Roosters week-long training camp in Los Angeles prior to heading to the entertainment capital of the world Las Vegas to launch the new NRL season in the historic double-header.

Just like the private school kids getting better opportunities because of wealth & connections. If you're connected to 1 billionaire your chance of meeting another increases. Money & power mingle with money & power.

Many things are true, but we don't have to support them. It's an elitist attitude and I'd rather our chairman value people on merit rather than where they went to school.

He didn't support it, he just said what is true. He wants RL to be supported by future decision makers, like it or not a lotta them will come from private schools. Its not his job to solve that societal imbalance. It is his job to do the best for RL & if a large % of future CEOs are coming from a certain section we should try make them RL fans.

He's a product of public schooling, I doubt he puts much stock in private over public. Besides he didn't say he wants to hire them, he just understands they will be the politicians, CEOs, board members etc. that our game can extract money & influence from

Its like PNG is RL mad, but we ain't kicking the season off in Port Moresby because we're after gambling money. Nothing against PNG its just how it is; Vegas has more clout.

Old mate might run his chippy better & share his passion for RL with lots more people but the poncey white boy rubs shoulders with more money, power & influence.

I always assumed Capital was a reference to Canberra, not Capitalism.
