So I guess you need to change legislation to force judges to serve harsher punishments.

Really interested to see what the NRL does.

Leniu was given 8 weeks for calling Mam a monkey, surely this is worse.

What can they do now? Their punishment has to fit the crime, surely, and apparently there wasn't one.
I really don't know mate, will be interesting to see. It's a bit of a minefield now for sure.

Btw Leniu's wasn't a crime, either.

They can still hand down whatever punishment they want. There is plenty of precedent for penalties for bringing the game into disrepute, and this is no different.

Personally, I think he needs to be out for a minimum of 16 weeks. The NRL needs to draw a line of unacceptability here. He could easily have killed someone.

Agree. Half a season minimum. 16 weeks even better.

And stipulate rep rounds will NOT be counted.

Reckon the NRL won't go too lightly now that the Broncos have signed a more than capable replacement.

Seeing the police and courts completely ignore any charges for injuring someone was ****ed. If you just read the charges you wouldn't know Mam had hit someone else's car.
