as much as he was a legend half.
he is a weird one that Ricky S

he did our club under and threw us under a bus, and it was to put our club backward and stir crap in the media, he can be very sneaky. he goes to Parra - didn't last long there! I wonder why.

he will last at the Raiders because he is the golden child down there.:rolleyes:

Klemmer - 2 charges - fines only .

Katoa - 1 week ( I know graded higher ) seems harsh ..
FMD

How many chances do they need to get things right ?

Cam Murray didn’t return so they assume Katoa hit him harder than what Klemmer did in his contacts

I thought the MRC was made up of footballers now……

If so, Well, they seem to have forgotten the game

The charges are based on “the players injury outcome” rather than the facts of the offence now days.

Had Cam come back, Katoa would have been a fine (I’m certain of it).

Given Cam Murray didn't wanna come off there is also no evidence he failed the HIA directly due to the Katoa tackle. He seemed to want to demonstrate (once he had the penalty) it didn't really impact him.

Katoa's hit looked rather innocuous too. I know that they're sometimes the most dangerous ones health wise, but still...

Better to get our 2 games against Raiders out of the way now prior to them collapsing in a heap and finding a typical late season revival.
I think for a number of previous season we have had an early year game followed by a late year game against them, not that I'm really blaming the timing on the losses.

No one cares about us being 1st because it's early in season and the ladder standings are skewed + we won't convince anyone about how genuine we are (including ourselves) until we start knocking over some wins in finals games when it really matters.

As a Sharks fan I care about us being 1st because it's looks nice on paper (or screen) and because it shows us having a much better start to a season of NRL than usual and we might have won another game without the bye anyway making our F/A even better.

Peter Fitz think he's in a era where people actually give a **** what a journo thinks anymore. Doubt he has any real concerns for player welfare. Is he going to pay the bills for a player forced into early medical retirement? Drive them to the doctors?

James Graham (I'm a fan of his) is a sharp switched on bloke for a guy with 100 concussions to his name and not every aging former player from more brutal eras mind you has turned into a vegetable. Let the players get the medical advice they do and decide for themselves and family if they want to continue on in this sport.

I reckon more young blokes have had a premature death or disablement from working on a typical job site than from NRL footy. Work and play has risks.

On a final note it's beyond me how David Klemmer is taking the field this week and our Katoa is not - WTF NRL
Some games Katoas high arm isn't even a fnen penalty.

This is actually ****ed. Klemmers were way worse than Katoas wtf
Annesley said today that he felt the officials missed the mark by not sending players to the bin for high tackles. He couldn't confirm Klemmer due to it being under a charge but hinted as such.

Then the MRC gives him a fine? So he escaped sanctions on and off the field.

But Dale gets two weeks for a head clash (I can't seem to let that go!)
