Also... the 2024 salary cap will be a little under double what it was in 2016 once you factor in the 5 extra players on minimum wage, plus allowances, tweaking the tier 2 cap etc.. A guy making $400k in 2016 was consuming ~6% of your cap space. This is about the same for a guy making $800k in 2024.

Actually back in the day a player would have belted him by now and taught him a lesson. No fines / suspensions required.

The bye has already been accounted for here.

The only hope Parra have of making it is if Ricky blows a valve tomorrow and they do something stupid enough to warrant having competition points deducted.

Either that or, an NRL investigation in to the Roosters salary cap for any given year which leads to them losing competition points.

I know which one is more likely though.

The 8 is now set it’s just a matter of where they all finish.

Souths, Cows and Eels all out!

Knights are guaranteed 5th.

We win, we are 6th playing a home semi to Roosters.

We lose and we travel to Canberra while Knights will play Roosters.

While nothing is certain, I think we will win tomorrow.

My concern tomorrow, funnily enough, is the form of Ronnie and Sifa. If they put in sub par performances that is not going to help. We have to get good starts to our sets. Ramien, Tracy and Sione I’m confident about.

We get over their pack and we win. No Horsburgh, no Papalli certainly helps.
