So an idea I had about making the minor premiership more prestigious.

No more increases of the salary cap.

Start with bonuses something like this, and all future increases go to the prize pool rather than the salary cap:

Minor Premiership - 2m
Week 1 exit - 500k
Week 2 exit - 1m
Week 3 exit - 2m
Runner up - 2.5m
Premier - 5m

I like it in theory but it kinda makes it hard for the bottom teams to attract good players.

Not sure a Penrith getting $16M since 2020 ($21M if they win it this yr) on top is much use. Be a big 1 off for some but unlikely if last yrs powerhouse is up to $7M better off

Not against the idea but a bit generous

Maybe:

MP $1m I think that’s fair coin for finishing on top over the season:
wk 1 $200 (first 2 teams that bow out)
wk 2 $300 (next 2 teams that bow out)
wk 3 $400 (Prelim teams that bow out)
RU $750 - bigger share than wk 3 teams for making GF
Prem $2m Needs to be significantly larger than MP

Total Finals price pool
$5.55m

A Super League game is being played across two days for the first time ever

Leigh vs Huddersfield was 16-12 after 47.30 and power went out yesterday

Game being restarted the afternoon with same score and 32.30 on the clock

There you go!
But you are right to question it. In this current climate of Ch9 running the game - being obsessed with Thursday and Friday night footy, all finals from week 2 + the GF being at night - it definitely an anomaly.

It is, I prefer the arvo game personally.

From memory it's usually 530pm and 8pm on the Saturday.

Kangaroo's doing ok given it's not a national game. And lololololpolol at the Wallabies.

Asked who Australia’s best national team is, our cricket teams drew 31.2 per cent of votes, ahead of the Matildas (22.8 per cent), rugby league’s Kangaroos (16.7 per cent), the Australian Dolphins swim team (10.3 per cent), netball’s Diamonds (9 per cent) and the Socceroos (6.4 per cent).

Only 1.8 per cent voted for the Wallabies, in a remarkable result symbolic of the team’s fall from grace since those baggy gold jerseys were the toast of the nation at the turn of the century.

NRL are behind the 8-ball on providing graphs for the colourblind

C'mon Graham. That's the ugliest graph I've seen since last week's update.
