Yeah, every player has a different point performance threshold. Dale would need to almost kill a bloke every game to consistently poll

Judging from all the end of the year comments, I did not know we had such a crappy team. It looks like we need at least 20 new players.

Each player must also be a current rep player and be a star. To be clear we do not accept rep players that actually aren't that good and we're just a poor selection from selectors

If we do improve it’ll be because of Fitz realising he has to change something and push the sh*t out of these players .. the group of players we have have stayed and like to stay at a certain level for most of their career apart from very few and the 3 new ones.

We need an injection of a Dykes or a Trindall or both

Tend to agree, I would be shocked if we come 2nd again next year. Even a top 4 finish would surprise me.

A few players stepped up performances this season on their previous years here. The likes of Ronaldo, Toby, Talakai, Katoa, Nikora… but we do need more to go to the next level, hopefully Fitz can find that

I think we will improve, but probably not enough to win a comp. Problem is anything less than 2nd will be looked at as regression, and we know we are unlikely to finish 2nd with a tougher draw (assuming we get one).

If we ended up putting both Trindall and Dykes in, we'd likely regress further. Regardless of opinions on who is better, throwing two rookies in fulltime will have their challenges for the immediate season. Maybe it would work out better long term? Again, that depends on your opinion of who's better.

I feel you - those guys are going good but you need those better performances consistently doesn’t need to be every week but more consistent then what it is, this is where I was saying it’ll come down to Fitz to know/be able to push the sht out of them

I guess my point is more that Hynes and Brailey would have to overcompensate more to cover for two players in their first full season. I think you can bring in one rookie, like Souths did this year, if they are surrounded by a good support cast and still do well. Even then, Illias took a fair while to get going. IF, Tricky and Dykes were the answer, I think you'd expect to take a step backwards next year before moving forward the year after.

Best thing for their development, would be bringing one in where they can ease their way into grade without too much pressure on their shoulders. Again, that's IF Fitz was to think they were the answer. I don't think our spine will change to start the year. I think Tricky will remain a back up, and we will know more about where Dykes fits depending on whether and how long Kennedy is re-signed for.

Wiz, not being funny but your taking a long bow to claim Trindall killed it “when he played first grade”. In my opinion, overall Tricky was a C-

Trindalls biggest problem is the guy who did kill it in first grade through 2022, was the guy he was competing against for the 5/8 spot a year ago - Moylan.

If Moylan had a single slip on or off the field, Trindall may have got more minutes - Moylan did not slip up.

If there is an introduction to the back line, I agree Dykes is special - for mine he would add more overall impact than Tricky & may be bought in if Kennedy stumbles or is groomed to take over from Moyan In 2025.

Dykes has more in his trick bag than tricky.

I agree with Proud Sharks assessment - the room for improvement is the pack.

Tinkering with the 6,7 & 9 that all finished in the top 4 of our group Player of the year pole seems daft.
