I wouldn't be surprised, but I do think he'll stay on bench for another week or two at the moment

Last year Fifita was playing poorly in NSW Cup and people wanted to put him in the first grade team just because and now he's actually playing decently as a 20-30 minute bench prop in NRL and people want to drop him.

I've said already I don't think he is playing so well he has the jersey locked down, but someone else needs to perform well enough to take it from him. Not sure what Jack and Royce have put together in NSW Cup so far, Royce got a mention in write up last week as playing well.

Tolman and Fifita will have their work cut out for them keeping those two out of the 17. May the best men win.

I just hope everyone stays healthy enough to keep competing for the spots.
Well said and agree 100%. Competition for spots is a great sign.

Not sure but I remember how few players we used in 2016.

If Williams is ready I'd probably bring him into the 17 for Trindall, McIness can be a handy utility if we want a utility played imo. We won't be dropping Tolman though, we've just got 2 wins in a row & we can't change a winning side all of a sudden. Hunt maybe valuable but give him a few weeks in the Newtown side & maybe give him a chance in a few weeks if he performs & a spot comes available. As already said, Williams for Trindall is the only change I'd make.

Newcastle have been in good form recently & if Ponga is back that is just our luck but this match maybe good for us because it might show where we actually are in regards to the other top teams. If we find a way to beat them then maybe that will show that we are ready to compete at the top end of the table regularly. We just need to defend well as they have been good in attack just like us, I don't think we'll have an issue to score tries as we've attacked well most of the year. We are also one of the teams to have scored the most points, within the top 2 I think I saw.

Newy will be a good test. especially if Ponga is in. He is our bogey player. I'm sure our record against them has been poor of late.

Teig comes back in for Trindall.

Tricky only survives if Tracey is out.

Their bench is pretty uninspiring and they had a real tough game last weekend, I'd be pretty tempted to bring either Royce or Jack in for Tricky to really set us up to get over the top of them after they start subbing.

I suppose it depends how much Mcinnes has trained in the halves in off season to cover for injuries since Tracey is out

Agree between Brailey and McInnes we could probably cover Moyza, Hynes would be hard. Fingers crossed and knock on wood conversation is irrelevant anyway.

BUT my same thoughts tweaked, could leave Tricky on bench and start Tolman for BHU

Play McInnes as 5/8
Yeah him or Brailey or they do a split 'closest one is hooker other becomes a receiver' option
Brailey can try be available as a kicking option, McInnes and Brailey can both be a little bit of a running threat still too
