I’m with you - just replying to Gards saying shark park doesn’t get packed outThey can come for week 3 if they are that keen. Maybe an incentive to be a paying member
Meanwhile the team deserves a home final, want a home final and more importantly have only lost once all year.
That’s all that matters.
There's a reason the kids call it 'the poop kitchen'Violently.
That "backdoor calamari" ... hoooweee!
the health inspectors too! There's a reason the kids call it 'the poop kitchen'
Don't stress mate, I get banter all the time wherever I am, I'm so use to it haha . Some people just cop it consistently & use to it lol.Just joking sharkyboy - it’s all love.
I’m all about the banter
Right result then…..IMHO.Eels win was good, but it lets a bit of air out of the tyre re: the rest of this weekend’s games. First week finals are now pretty much set. Just the venues to be confirmed.
Storm win woukd have been worse for the Sharks, but would have made the other games a bit more interesting.
And we still need to beat Newcastle!!!Right result then…..IMHO.
I do disagree with the other games being less interesting line thou.
the “important matches” are still important as they still have a big bearing on the final make up of the ladder, first round finals games and the subsequent cross overs for weeks 2 and 3.
The Roosters/ Rabbits game is for home ground advantage now.
The Raiders still need to win against a desperate Tigers team wanting to send their captain out a winner. Broncos (must win game) against the Dragons game still has potential to be top 8 affective.
True, unless Cowsboys loseAnd we still need to beat Newcastle!!!
Yeah agree. Souths and Easts would be crazy not to rest some key players now.Eels win was good, but it lets a bit of air out of the tyre re: the rest of this weekend’s games. First week finals are now pretty much set. Just the venues to be confirmed.

Cross over can’t be effected now other than by week 1 finals results.Right result then…..IMHO.

the only game that affects any of that is if Brisbane lose to dragons
then the raiders game means SFA!
Wouldn't that just give people one weeks notice to organise getting to a game? Think of the bums on seats punters, Peter Burg'landys! If I was running the NRL (which I think we all know will happen eventually) I’d reserve the right to re-schedule games in the final 2 rounds to maximise interest.
For this round we wanted…
Canberra playing before Brisbane (nope)
Sharks playing before Cowboys (nope)
Roosters/Bunnies playing before Eels/Storm (nope)
Out of the top 9, only Penrith gets to rest players in this scenario.
As is stands: Panthers, Sharks, Roosters, Rabbitohs and Raiders could potentially all be resting players in “dead rubber” games (from their own PoV).
True but the amount of players they can rest is limited because they've already named their squads. If I was running the NRL (which I think we all know will happen eventually) I’d reserve the right to re-schedule games in the final 2 rounds to maximise interest.

Robbo seems to be more from the school of thought towards going into finals with momentum and combinations. At least that is all the talk they've been pushing out.Yeah agree. Souths and Easts would be crazy not to rest some key players now.
Adds a bit more spice to it that they hate each other and are playing next week as well.Robbo seems to be more from the school of thought towards going into finals with momentum and combinations. At least that is all the talk they've been pushing out.
If I was Souths I'd be resting Trell and Cody just for the pure fact of not wanting them to do something dumb. But if they get flogged they could be on for a Melbourne trip and would not want that. I think we will see two full sides tbh.
Easts would have to win by 56, can't see it.Robbo seems to be more from the school of thought towards going into finals with momentum and combinations. At least that is all the talk they've been pushing out.

Not to mention Souths have won 4 of the last 5 season games between them (and put 50 on them twice).
So it turns out that if I was running the NRL I’d just copy the ideas that the AFL has decided are no good any more.True but the amount of players they can rest is limited because they've already named their squads.
I'm happy Penrith are resting everyone, clearly the best team in the comp, they've earned the right.
Before the AFL decided to have a rest week after the last round, which I don't like, they wouldn't schedule the final round games until the penultimate round was done.
