Burgess was a clear send off for mine. It was a forceful swinging arm, and worse yet it was his second for the game. Easy decision for the red as a bin or send off was the same result anyway.
For me too but I think the ref was not going to do it. The loud reaction kind of "forced" him to do so.

Just watched the replay as didn’t get to watch the game live, geez we were sloppy and very lucky.

It’s our best season since 2016 but we aren’t half the team we were back then.
We had genuine superstars in key positions in 2016. This team is a couple of seasons shy of reaching full potential but the building blocks are in place .

Right now we have Too many sloppy errors handing the ball back to the opposition .

We could get found out in the pressure cooker of finals footy.

We've had seasons in the last decade where we lost heaps of games by small margins. This year we're winning a lot of games by small margins. Makes me wonder whether it's luck, determination, self belief? Or is it the sign of a good team?

I’d happily take 26 wins with a differential of +26 for the season

Excellent points mate, very true.

By the way, we missed you in the game day thread.

Just an amusing little side note from Saturday night. Some of you might not know, but Buzz Rothfield sits in the Upper ET each home game and for the past few home games now I’ve noticed something that can’t be coincidence.

When you come down from the ET stand there’s a pathway that heads towards the exits and now for the third time in a row I’ve seen Rothfield stationed there looking at his phone but watching everyone walking out of the stand.

He's not fooling me, it’s nothing other than a “Hey look at me, I’m Buzz Rothfield” moment. Unfortunately some people do recognise him and he laps up the attention.

You'd think he'd want to stay incognito as he's not that popular with Sharks fans.
Would have been funny if Scomo & Albo were there watching together.

He is reading our game day posts to work out what he is going to write in his column.

Souths forwards were strong but their spine was pretty crap and Latrell was a passenger bar 1 try he scored

Yet we still only won by a field goal and were fortunate Latrell left his kicking boots at home with his motivation

But that's NRL, every team competes and it aint meant to be easy

Feels like we hadn't beaten Souths much the last few seasons so was good to notch this one up regardless and we really did need those 2 points. Didn't relise Souths had such a poor record at Shark park or I had forgotten

So Glad we don't have Burgess in our team (the player not the poster) - such a penalty factory that bloke , his older bro was the same despite being good players they undo so much of the work they do. Glad we could benefit

I think the next month we just need to win, hopefully avoiding injuries along the way.
