the way wado spoke about the feeling amongst the group...good
but he did highlight more work to be done and improvement to be where they want to...good GOOD
Yeah, I liked that too. That’s what you want to hear from your captain. Wade seems to be getting more confident too. I think he’s got another gear in him

I'm getting the feeling that he's almost won Fitz over. We may see another year of him.

That extra time solidified the fact that we have two 6’s in our halves.. very disorganised at times.

It is our biggest weakness
And one of our largest strength, I agree there are pro’s & cons Wizard.

I look at the pros / cons & the result - we are sitting third on the table in Fitzies first year , not 12th as was a possibility if the halves pair did not gel, or Fitzy went with other options.

I would not swap the Creativity in our halves any traffic cop 7 - aka Chadley, Robson, etc.

As for our biggest weakness, surely it is our gutsy but relatively small pack getting owned by large packs that roll down the middle of the ruck & stop us from doing the same.

As previous posters have cited, it was amazing how we converted the few attacking chances we had last night - Souths forwards did not allow many attacking raids on their line.

South’s are a quality side - it was good to nip. 2 points off them.

And to my point

He is pushing hard in the post game interviews.

”My role is changing. Edge, middle, bench, I don’t care, I’m just happy to just be in the team……..”

But Fitz just has this poker face on.

Not ref bashing but geez there were a couple of dodgy calls that went against us , especially ruling Ronaldo had knocked the ball on when it hit his back , as he had his legs taken from under him , led to a Souths try . Really proud of the team , never seemed to have any momentum but still found a way to get points . The sign of a good team is winning when they shouldn't .
I really think the premiership is wide open , anybody can beat anybody on any given day , i think any of the top 6/7 could still win it .

Have to say, that send off was over the top.

Penalty / on report, yes. 10 min sin bin, maybe at worst.

I know there were only a few mins to go so sin bin instead of send off wouldn't have made a difference to the game but it's the consistency and message of this send off that I have a problem with.

No way that would be a send off 5 mins into the game.

Yeah it def shouldn’t have been a send. Functionally same as sin bin though and not our player so I’m not too fussed.

Agree

Hynes and Moylan’s creativity/on the run play is up there with the best but you can see when we need a different style or gameplan to match it with the other team we struggle.. there’s games where we get figured out and don’t know what to do.

In finals that lack of simple organisation could easily kill us - let’s hope not

Our karma for all the calls the ref didn’t give us

I think the send off was due to the reaction of the fans and it looked spectacular. But it is Burgess so who cares? Well deserved.

yeah agree

golden pt, penalty sufficient, led us down the park to kick;
if it was in range - penalty kick to win, not ideal but that's the game

I care because that could be us next week and I would be filthy.

Just like every head clash now I am scratching my head why a penalty/ report / sin bin isn't occurring.

"Running hard to make a tackle increases the risk of injury and therefore decreases the tacklers duty of care to the ball carrier."

Umm. This is rugby league right? Don't get me started.

Huge win in the context of our season. For us to get through the tough run of teams with 1 loss is amazing. Realistically we should win the next 5 games if we are serious about finals.

Interesting to hear some of you say Burgess shouldn’t have been sent.

That happened right in front of me and whether it was 5 min in, 15 mins, 35 mins or at any stage, he deserved to go. Ronnie did not lower himself, Burgess’ main aim was to take him out. There was no accident in it, it was deliberate.

Not that it should influence a referee but Burgess was attacking the head of our players all night so I have no sympathy for him being sent and I was glad he was, that was a simply horrible tackle.

We’ll see what the MRC do but if he doesn’t get charged, I will be very surprised.
