Only Jake Turbo that I can see reported. Who else mate?
Jurbo, Davey, Croker

Just to confused matters they've just released an updated team list which has debutant Weekes listed at prop... think that's a typo and he's meant to be at hooker maybe?
Burbo starts, De Luis also into side

In dogs news: Averillo also out with covid and Dufty released immediately to super league

Thought it was interesting that 11 of the 16 teams are or have been until very recently in a position to give the top 8 a serious crack.

There's a pretty big gap between the top 4 and the rest (at least from the second half of the season) but I feel like there are more teams than usual competing for finals spots.

Last year was similar, but I think we saw the table a lot more certain a lot earlier in the season in previous years.
Brisbane and Cowboys have re-emerged, The Dogs and Tigers have had short spurts of competitiveness, The Roosters and Storm are pretty wobbly but in the mix... Raiders and Parra doing what they usually do... just a thought... that middle pack seems to get bigger each year.

Ricky Stuart re-signs for another couple of years... lucky the Raiders love mediocrity!

Although I am not a huge fan of Ricky, the raiders have done okay under him and may still make the finals this year.
Just on this the Raiders, outside of playing the Panthers and to a lesser extent Manly have a very friendly draw for the remained of the year. I think if they can beat manly they make the 8

Is it just me or is this actually not that bad? Definitely not top 8 but they wont be a laughing stock.
I don’t t mind the squad, it’s not a top 6 squad but they won’t run last, anywhere from 7-13, depends on how many more solid players they sign will determine how they go along with luck/injury

Honestly I think they will be fine and finish 6-10 next year by the time recruitment is finished. They have the foundations of a reasonable squad and still have plenty of spots and cap left apparently.

That 17 isn’t to bad. Probably better than teams like Titans, Knights etc currently on paper.

The depth thing might be the concern. I don’t know who they have outside that, add 3 or 4 injuries and they might be in some trouble

True, but I see that as just an opportunity for members of their Q Cup team that isnt contracted to the NZ Warriors to step up and fill out the squad along with some discards and juniors with blocked pathways from other clubs, exposing them to first grade level training and coaching. They probably wont be in finals contention in season one and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. New clubs probably shouldnt be premiershup contenders in year one unless something absolutely special happens, and not due to receiving an unfair amount of help from the NRL.

Part of the reason they were chosen was to give their massive junior nursery a pathway into the NRL, drip feed those talented youngsters over the next 5-10 years and they should be much more competitive hopefully.

Its a long term project so hopefully their fanbase is patient as the club earns their scars and pays their dues so to speak.

Don't know what you lot are looking at. The backline is hot garbage, average halves and most of the forwards are in their 30s.
