I wouldn't be signing someone who wants clauses like these.

Haas wants to be able to get out of his deal if they don’t make the top eight in year one of his new deal, or in year two if they don’t make the top six, and in year three if they don’t make the top four.

If he is after success why doesn't he sign for Melbourne or Penrith for a fraction of what he is asking?

NRL have announced an U19 State of Origin game... with a couple of marquee U20 NRL players thrown in.

June 23 at Leichhardt.

Not sure the NRL can seriously justify putting a second team in NZ when the current one has been nothing but a basket case for almost 30 years.

It's weird that they can run plenty of good union teams but no league teams. Obviously they are a union country so there's a bit of a disconnect.

They have so many young players to choose from. Maybe the NRL needs to invest in some meaningful support systems there.

@kiwishark might have some insight.
