What? Stationary blockers are allowed? Since when? I know that the refs ignore them, but surely the rulebook doesn't say "you can have a sleeper/blocker standing next to the ball to block the markers, but he has to be standing still".

All teams do this. Some are worse than others. Seibold-coaches Broncos were on a similar level to Penrith. Manly are pretty bad at it too.

Field goal shots have turned in to NFL these days. It's garbage.

I hear you mate, really is infuriating.

I know I’ll get bashed for saying but hope Manly go alright. I’ll substitute that feeling if Walker suffers an injury so he can’t win a ring.

Heard Cronk and Matty Johns talking about how you stop turbo. Pretty well Need there in the tackle with one chopping the legs. Exact same play Melbourne used on Fifita. I know common knowledge but on his Podcast it was a good insight on some types of plays.

Not at all, I'm in the same boat.

Its absolute BS and been creeping into the game for to long. You can’t have blockers anywhere period, that one that stands right next to the ruck always rushes and makes contact with Marker chasing hard.

If Storm start holding down , wrestling , slowing down the tackle and getting away with it , I'm ALL IN Manly

It must be a interpretation that is shared with the clubs, that someone can stand their ground in a position that acts as a blocker for a kicker

Just looked it up. This is from the NRL Laws and Interpretations

Yep...

This is the standard for late game or gp field goals. I think it's pretty unlikely that the NRL would not have noticed this. Ignoring this is almost certainly deliberate.

I don't like it, but you're right, it's been the standard for... ever.
The block play is the ****tiest one, as it's called so inconsistently. I don't think anyone should be allowed around the ball unless they're making a play for it, but it's tough to police. You'd end up with a half dozen defenders looking skywards towards the ball while running around the designated catcher... entertaining but not the best way to go.

Lumelume is the Storm's possible weak point. I would have been tempted to put Hynes out there.

I have heard the rule on the wall is they can’t be in a straight line across. So it only takes a slight adjustment and they take a step back from the ruck out forming that diagonal line. Its Bs mate

Agree, i have some old Recollection he is suss under the High ball? Maybe in the 20s?

He has been a bit suss taking kicks lately too. Probably just a confidence thing but it's rare that the Storm have players second guessing themselves.

For the Jets. Couldn't catch herpes in Amsterdam.

He's also been a below average Q Cup player since shifting to the Storm. He's simply not good, and never had been. Just big and fast - which was enough in NYC.

Yep, was never a loss.
