It was on Facebook last night.

I'm not sure if he struggled to get his point across, or I just didn't understand what he was trying to say, but my takeaway from Gals advice was;

If you're going to do something stupid/illegal, surround yourself with people that wont dob you in or film it

You've probably find it by now, but Will finished equal 7th with 20 points. SJ polled 9 points. No other Sharks in top 50 which doesn't surprise too much.

It was on Facebook last night.

I'm not sure if he struggled to get his point across, or I just didn't understand what he was trying to say, but my takeaway from Gals advice was;

If you're going to do something stupid/illegal, surround yourself with people that wont dob you in or film it

Great effort from Will to be in that top ten - great reward for a terrific year.

Let's hope he gets even better under Fitz's tutelage.

Don't think he intended it as an interesting take. I think it is a fairly normal thing to happen.
We got allocated less total points than the top sides and Will was one of our best a lot of the time, so he naturally accumulates points.
He's not the equal 7th best player in the NRL but was a clear standout for a mid table team.

SJ got 9 votes in 10 appearances. If he had played more we probably win a few more and he takes more points away from Will.
Doueihi and RTS similar, when their teams got points it was usually them that played well.
The top sides that win a lot have more good players to spread the points around but also will be allocated more points more often.

It's more of a 'Most Valuable Player' than a best player system. Will's value to us was definitely right up there, and I agree ranks higher than he does as an individual player.
For best player they'd have to rank every player every game.

Will can easily get a bit better because a lot of areas of improvement will develop naturally with experience. This may be mitigated though by teams focusing more attention on him though.
Whether he can make another big improvement again is more questionable. If we have a good season next year I would say it is probably more likely we have more sharks poll better than we have WK specifically poll better.

I think (assume/hope) he is speaking generally like don't surround yourself with ********s because they will encourage you to do the wrong thing and/or stitch you up when you do. Don't think his message is just 'don't get caught'.

Not having people around you who will film you and share it around it just as good advice when drinking as when doing anything they aren't allowed to do.

But also extends to who you hang around with in general.
Munster and Cheese could have said lets invite over Addy and Sparkles they love a beer and a laugh but instead have invited over Cocaine Chad and Crazy Matt the Rat. Even if they didn't intend to do any coke inviting ********s over put them in a position more likely to go bad.
Can't act surprised when the Rat went after the Cheese.

Barba got done by random testing. You can't confirm something in their system through video.
