Credit where its due. He has played in the middle his entire career and made a lot of tackles. For his body to hold up to near 400 games plus all those rep games is pretty amazing
3/4 of his tackles are 3rd man in flops

Should we change the title of this thread to “2019 Cameron Smith Testimonial, The Greatest Shark that ever put on a jersey for.......”,
Wait! what! He is not a Sharks player?
Then WTF are we spending so much time on him in here then?

Nothing wrong with giving credit where it's due. No matter what position he plays, 400 games is ****ing mental. Credit to him.

Crazy stuff.

Nothing of the bloke, has had a target on him most his career, must avg 50 tackles a game, is clutch, superb game manager and has barely suffered an injury. Always one of the best players and in the biggest games. Probably had half a dozen shockers in his career and even those were better than most's average game.

While we are on storm stats:

C. Bellamy has coached Melbourne for 16 years now and has had them in the finals for 15 of them.

The one he missed was 2010, when they couldn’t earn points, **** me that’s over achieving if ever I’ve seen it.

would love Flanno to have close to that record at the same stage of his sharks career.

They're well overdue for a drop off and deserve a few years at the blunt end of the ladder.

stop defending him. All he does is pass the ball and tackle, quite like thurston who passes the ball and runs, but doesn’t tackle.

Melbourne get allocated $2m more funds by the NRL than any other team, their TPAs alone is the same as the other 15 teams combined, and they systematically cheated the salary cap for between 1/3 and 1/4 of those years Bellamy has been in charge.

Bellamy is a great coach and the Melbourne development system is very good - but with the edge they have over the competition they should expect to be a top 4 side every year. Heads would roll if they weren’t.

On Cameron Smith - he is so much more than just a tackling machine. Seeing him push a team around the park is a fantastic spectacle. I hate the bloke because he wears a Melbourne jersey but he is probably the best player I’ve ever watched in that regard l.
