The concept is flawed, but having said that, I have little to offer about fixing it.

The team that played this morning was not the team that won the grand final and as long as that is the case it is little more than marketing.

Not sour grapes, I've thought it for years.

Elevate its status, increase prize money and play after the GF, or don't bother.

We said the same about lichaa, but hes playin 80 regularly and making 40-50 tackles per game.

But ya wouldn't take him back for free. 40-50 tackles is great until you take into account he's dog**** from dummyhalf.

I was pumped after those 1st 3 tackles from kickoff that lead to a mistake, and thought here we go... But sadly that was about it... Happy to go over again as defending premiers, hope we never go again unless we are chasing the champions of the world title.

Mate that first set in defense I was the same, thought we were gonna belt them outta the game and go on with it.

I think the point is more that he managed the minutes defensively from early on, but like brailey showed today the step up cause issues for getting into dummy half in attack.
No way he should be a lone hooker first up but by mid-late season he could potentially be capable.

To be honest whilst he played the minutes he shouldnt have been out there. There were countless times where reynolds was cracking the ****s at him as he was to tired to get to the play the ball. So I guess the question should be can he play 80 effectively?

But he's doing an awful job of it and spends a lot of time hunched over looking rooted. Staying on the field for 80 and being able to "play" 80 might be the difference.

He was basically doing this from day 1 at the dogs.

I don't remember it that way. I'm sure the Dogs fans were complaining about him being unfit and not lasting much through 20-25 mins. All through his first year I'm sure.

Dogs fans were also riled that they gave up Ennis to us and got someone in return that couldn't go the distance.

I don't think he could yet, not week in, week out in the NRL anyway. He'll get there though.

Kids got an engine, crap passer though

Not sure if you are serious. Based on dummy half service Brailey is way ahead of Nu.

Based on that game alone I think Brailey gets a spot for round one. The bench spot should be Nu unless they want to experiment with some other combination of players in there for 15 minutes per game to give Brailey a spell. I'd go Paulo for one game and see if it is a disaster or not - but I think Flanno will be happy having Nu on the bench and splitting the time as per last night.

Miles ahead of Nu? So what. His service was still slow and unaffective. Blessed by Ennis and left with nothing.
Need Seggy badly as all our hooking options are ****

The only one good thing about this loss is that my credit card doesn't take a hammering with World Champs merchandise!

The missus will be pleased.

Couldn't disagree with this more mate. I thought it was a strength of his game.

Yeah I have to agree, I thought he was pretty good tbh, will be very impressive in a year or two. Whilst I would have liked Seggy I think we'll be better off with Brailey in the long run. Use the cash we had set aside for Seggy for something else.

Good to hear mate. A bugger they didn't get the win for ya but hopefully they'll be back soon for another crack.

I agree - I can't see why all the fuss around Nu Brown. I haven't seen anything special to date. We have an issue at hooker. Cherrington not a first grader and Brailey still too fresh.

Jesus. We haven't seen enough of any of them to answer any of these questions.

This is true but I do wonder if a few fans are viewing Nu through the BW&B glasses. True, he hasn't played much NRL and seems to get shifted around a bit so mightg be a victim of not having a specialised role...... but I'm not sure I'm seeing it so far.
