Just a bit of info for everyone.
Membership for 2016 could be out prior to 2015 season ends (ie finals)
Membership packs could be to on our doors prior to Christmas.
Membership packs - could have a few items returning from past packs
Members Jersey returning.
Just giving something for everyone to ponder over.

The membership council is meeting next week and I have been thinking about what we can do to improve the membership experience. The idea of a Members jersey is something I wanted to bring up but with a bit of a twist.
The old members jersey was basically an NRL Sharks jersey with all the members names embedded. These were a great idea but have a few limitations, in my opinion.
1. They are very expensive
2. Being a "modern" style jersey, they are synthetic and not really something you would wear except to the footy.
I was thinking you could have the option to buy a "Rugby" style, cotton jersey with a collar, Like this
On the back would be the year, as the number.
The good thing about this jersey is you can wear it anywher, it is stylish and comfortable. It could also be sold to members considerably cheaper than a modern jersey.
The other idea I have is to include other "Member Add-ons" that you can choose to buy with your membership. Things like a Members tie, lapel pin, cufflinks, pen, etc, etc.
These "Add-ons" would only be available to Members and should be good value.
I think the idea of customising your membership is a good one, so I would make the basic membership pack include simply:
1. A good quality keyring
2. A good quality members sticker
3. Memberhip lanyard.
4. Merchandise voucher
...and that's it.
You then get the choice of say, a cap, a beanie or a scarf.
The only problem with all this customising is you would have to get the memberships organised early, in order to get everything sorted.
This is not necessarily a bad thing as it will encourage people to sign up sooner, if they want the exclusive Members gear. If you miss the cut-off, you just get the basic Membership pack.
I also want to do some type of Members Rewards for members who sign up new members. If every member can sign one new member, we double our membership, it's a no brainer. Longtime members should also be recognised, at say each ten year mark with some sort of memento, maybe a unique key ring or pen with their name on it.
Finally, I think we need to see the Club more active in community engagement. Appearances at school fairs, local sports grounds, street festival and the like. Working in conjunction with the Sutherland Shire Council would be a step in the right direction .
Anyway, those are a few of my ideas, please let me know what you think and also, what YOU would like.
