I think he needs to settle his unfair dismissal case with us 1st..
We really ballsed that up, should have let him and manager come in front the board give us some lip service then give him his marching orders, I'm not sure a extra day to make the desecion really was that big of a deal.
Hindsight I know is a wonderful thing.
We should thank Todd, pissing in his mouth allowed us to win a premership 3 years later.
If Todd was still here Robbo probably would be as well...

Correct me if im wrong, but the unfair dismissal case he won against us (rlpa) was about how he was sacked as you said, not why.
Now am i am right in saying to obtain compensation to the sum of what he is owed be would need to prove he didnt deserve to be sacked? If i remember correctly the sharks were going in with records or warnings and previous indiscretions too. He was suing for his entire contract. I dont see him getting even half that

True to NRL form and logic

http://www.zerotackle.com/lodge-cleared-as-nrl-return-nears-24333/

Bloke was facing jail time: "He faces up to 25 years in jail for a string of offences, which include assault, criminal mischief, reckless endangerment and first- and second-degree burglary. ".

Yet they are clearing him to get back into the game. NRL makes no sense whatsoever.

It makes plenty of sense once you read 'Wayne Bennett' and 'Broncos'

I don't even care any more.

And the $2 million won't last long for him anyway. It will probably fuel a binge that will lead to his ultimate demise.

If it does cost us 2 million I wonder where that puts us with our debt.

Cod Tarnish could have taken our Grand Final merchandise cheque in one fowl soup

I just read an article about all the players that are off contract in 2018 that will be on the open market in November. Benji Marshall was listed. It's quite an odd situation where you can have a guy sign for 2017 and then a week later sign on to a different club for 2018 before he's probably even shown up to training. It's unlikely that he'd be signed for 2018 but it's still a funny quirk of the system.

A few names missing in the same boast, eg, Heino, at present, still playing on in 2017 yet not listed with any club or listed as even off contact.

no it isnt

for all the failures and **** ups carney had, we ****ed up harder by not following due process
Yes, it is. This American style of litigation is complete bull****.

Sure, we didnt follow due process, nobody can argue against that. But it's complete bull**** to say if we did he would have been 2m better off. The delay would have been a week or two maximum.

This is the point. Surely he has to prove lost earnings?
