I would not be surprised to not see Robson in the starting side come round 1. I don't believe he is Flanno's number 1 choice he was picked to keep Carney happy and with Carney he worked.

Murphy has been signed and has his last shot at first grade - He has been told if he trains hard and impresses he can grab the 7 jersey - I am in no way a Flanno fan but the word coming from inside sources is he has come back with a different plan.

The proof will be in the pudding I guess.

While we finally have a 1-5 that isn't the worst in the comp anymore, don't count your chickens before they hatch. We still have a very dire situation in the halves. Robson and Stanley are just flat out average, Barba is still an unknown as a five-eight and Nu is still very green. It has the potential to be gun but very well night not be.

At least there's a couple of options. Hopefully at least one of them will come good.

was talking about this very same thing with someone on Saturday night, hope barba doesn't do the same as carney and say he wants robbo as the 7. But imo if anything barba would say Murphy, considering their mateship

I hope you're right mate, robson offers absolutely nothing to this team in attack.

Pretty sure Flanno said Barba will partner Robbo in the halves during that interview he did about the Barba signing

He did and that's why I still don't like him. A blind man can see how bad his kicking game is and that is the reason why I'm not as excited for this year as everyone else. We signed good players and have a good roster except for the 7 . Carney didn just piss in his own mouth he pissed in all of ours the idiot

Saw Murphy play against Ipswich Jets this year , he was very solid , real organiser and defensively held his own , what I liked most was he ran to the line , was pretty fearless and was involved in alot of second phase play. Interesting to see if that continues with Flanno as his coach.

Will feki transition into the centres if needed? Be crazy not to have him in the team... Been a long time since we've had trouble picking outside backs but I reckon bird and Beale in the centres...

What? Lol, how many 1st grade Games has bird played? And you expect him to get 1st shot at centre? Good prospect, not a starter round 1

I'm sure there are dozens of players who have and he has potential. It's amazing what a solid off season will do. Look how well Holmes and Gagen went...

Holmes wasn't THAT good in first grade.

This^ Terrible hands. Amazing prospect, but he was pretty awful aside from the odd show of brilliance this year. Gagan for mine was the more impressive debutant this year.

Holmes doesn't have "terrible hands". At all. One failure to pick up a grubber at full flight does not equal "terrible hands" and his ability to pass, offload and field kicks suggests the opposite.

I agree. I defy anyone to pick up the balls he was thrown at top speed.

I remember he copped a bit of flak for not picking that grubber up. Many more established players would have fumbled it too.

He showed very good hands to some passes that Leutele threw leading to line breaks, especially in that debut match he played. Grabbing a grubber bouncing oddly is much of a muchness for an inexperienced player, I recall Hodges for instance in that debut State of Origin match. It's just nerves.
