That's the team I'd play for round 1. Not too sure who I'd play between Taga/D Fif, but I'd probably just go Taga to begin with. Also not sure about whether I'd play Arona or another hooker/utility (Nu, Bird, Politoni). I'd also like to see Holmes/Murphy play FG, but I doubt it will be at the start of the year.

Not a single genuine prop on the bench? Cept Difita which you have as an option

We really need to move away from carrying multiple back rowers on the bench

Bukuya's so good he can replace himself from the bench.

Arona has been hurting people at training. Apparently looking really good

Arona will be a starter , its the backline where we have options this year , trials will sought out a few positions prior to round 1 ,

lol... I stuffed that up big time. Was halfway through writing and stopped, came back and just kept writing. Didn't even notice I made the mistake. Was supposed to put Heighington at #15, obviously.

Based on the reports coming out of training, if Holmes and Barba are really carving it up together, we have to run out with this:

1. Holmes

2. Gordon

3. Feki

4. Beale

5. Gagan

6. Barba

7. Robson

8. A Fifita

9. Ennis

10. Gal (c)

11. Bukuya

12. Graham

13. Lewis

14. Arona

15. Heighington

16. Tagataese

17. Tupou

Whilst happy with early pre season reports, let's take a deep breath and remain calm it's still only November.

Gordon on the wing is being half pregnant. He is fullback or nowhere in my opinion.

I still think Holmes to wing Gordon fullback. Gagan stay in wing until 2030

Same, Heighno is our most consistent player, he needs to be in the team somewhere even if playing off the bench and Arona's form went south in the later part of this season

Yep it did ,you were also right re no specialist prop on the bench.

Lewis for mine needs to show big improvement on this year's form to earn a position over others. Yes he played injured but he doesn't deserve to be gifted that spot over others in the squad which had better form. He was really crap this season.

gordons best football was on the wing, Johnny is the better ball player imo

If Flash isn't going to be fullback then Barba goes there before Val. That leaves Nu and Murphy fighting for the 6.

The good thing here is there are so many options now. But as vicsharkfan says we have to be calm, it's only November.

Holmes should definitely be the full back. In my mind Holmes and barba would both have the skills to swap roles in attacking plays. They can both run the ball well and ball play. I was also thinking if barbs was a defensive liability in the line put homes in the one in defence and drop barbs to full back and then in attack swap back. ...could work
