Be good if the club could get back to fans though. Apparently pre orders being sent tomorrow. Ive asked if theyll be on sale sunday in the merch van (if they send it up to newy) or next week. No reply yet

The problem is they dont start the making of these jerseys til the feb.
Should just make it a xmas cut off to get ur name on. Then u could have it by week 4-5.
Yeah there's no happy medium.
If you make the cut off date too early, alot of people will miss out, and won't look as good.
Have the cut off date later, and the longer it takes the jerseys to be made.
Both hurt sales.

What's the timing for other clubs?
It would vary with manufacturer.
But there was a case few years back when due to a jersey clash, Port Adelaide wore their prison bar guernsey in a finals and ISC made that in under 3 weeks and had them in shops not long after.
But in saying that, it was a basic design, AFL cut and sublimated logos.

First few member's jerseys were out by round 1. Then it was delayed till member's round.
If I buy a jersey I want it from round 1 not 13.

IMO they should just do a members jersey personalised with just the members name. Design could be done ages in advance and could start going out as soon as memberships are in. Not sure how it would look but I really have no interest in having a jersey with every other members name on it, could be just me though.

you mean direct from the manufacturer personalised? Or have a generic members jersey (exclusive) then the club have embroided with our name? the First would cost a mint, the second would also cost a bit

haha honestly didnt put that much thought into it, its already like $180 isnt it? Surely it cant get too much dearer. An extra 20 to have it by round 1 would be worth it.
Members jersey is great, just not every year.
Have it every 2 years, have members names from those years and release it round 1 the following year.
Eg, 2017-2018 members appear on 2019/20 members jersey which would be available as early as 2018 Christmas.
Would sell better and justify the $180 asking price

Could do the same thing but annually. And would also make people be more inclined to renew the next season imo
