I'm not saying this is what the Sharks are thinking but what about this scenario-

- We had a good yr in terms of results

- We are looking at being a stronger team/roster in 2014 so they are banking on more interest/hype

- They have bumped the prices up by 20%?, they might be thinking the extra revenue or increase will even out for not all of 2013 members to sign back up

- BUT if we end up doing well early in season of 2014 we will end up regaining back the short fall in membership (with the majority being the bandwagon supporters who jump on board if we are doing well)

I'm not saying the above is correct nor is it how I would go about things as imo its too risky.

The club could stand to make anywhere from 1-4 million next season in memberships alone. Prices may have gone up, but they've got monthly payment options. If this is one of the main sources of revenue for the club, I'm happy to dip in. If it means a few less coffees or beers or cheeseburgers a week, it's not a great sacrifice for many people to show their support.

Doing the maths in my head $600 is $50 a game for a family. Dont know if thats reserved or GA but it isnt too bad when you could easily spend that much on food
