Good point grozzy. I remember mine was 10% cheaper this year compared to 2012.

I should rephrase that. In my opinion I don't think that should effect the price. It should actually be used to recruit more members, say get a membership and you get an extra game free. Instead of a possible $100 Increase.

For a family of 4. That's $25 each for the 1 extra game. Isn't that the price of a ticket at the gate? So not really much incentive there. You do expect a small increase every year due to inflation but hitting a family with an extra $100 is a bit steep.

Yes agree with both of you on the size of the increase. We really should be trying to keep all of the new members we recruited this year. Can see a lot of people bailing unfortunately.

the family deal of $500 was a loss for the sharks last year...

we got a family pass in the cage for $500, when an individual seat was $250...

$600 is a steal for 4 seats

I sort of think it would be better to play one or two of the out-of-town teams in other locations for the money. I'd rather the home memberships just be a bit cheaper. It's probably more appealing to a lot of people just to pay less. Also, a couple of less games might boost the attendances at the other home games slightly. For instance, some people will only attend 2-3 games for the whole year. Better to have them spread over (say) 10 games instead of 12. It might also encourage them to come to more games if they attend and it's a 16k crowd instead of 10k.

Just my thoughts. Not based on any evidence.

I think it should be mandatory for every club to take a home game to a country area each season. I reckon country people would rather see a real game rather than the City v Country crap.
