Was just curious to hear others thoughts on what year you think we were playing better footy?

Doesn't even have to specifically be those two years exclusively. Do you think this is the best we've played in say, 10 years?

We had a big year with toddy on fire in 2013, but do you think the team effort has been more important to us this year than previously?

As a team I would say yes. Most of our forwards our firing. Taga, Gal, Wade, Lewis & Mr consistent are all in form. Even with Todd we struggled to put points on the board. The resilience of this team is good too. As Fresher Shark said yesterday, we aren't going into our shell when we are behind on the score board & we are winning games that we have had no right to win.

We are a far more complete football team now, apart from probably the halves.

Assuming we make the finals by round 26, I'd call this a better year - less injuries, we aren't as reliant on a single player to win us games (we now have several clutch players in Ennis, Holmes, Fifita, and Barba).

If we go further than the 2nd week of finals, it'll be confirmed that this year was better.

I'm confident that this year could be the year we will win the comp. No time like the present!

I'd be upset if we didn't win the comp. a few of the big guns will be out of the race and I'd back us in.

Doing some typically biased ladder predictions, assuming we hold 4-6th on the ladder there is no reason why we can't win the grand final, particularly if we come up against teams like the roosters, rabbitohs, or cowboys. We've shown we can mix it with them and we don't lose our cool anymore. I'd agree and say if we get Fifita back and Ennis continues to play like he has...We could be dark horses.

The Fifitas getting a rest is a blessing in disguise. Lewis is getting a chance to freshen up too. Toops is back and is only going to get better. There is no reason that this year can't be our year. None of this next year **** anymore.

I can think of one specific thing that will stop us wining a GF this season. Our halfback doesn't have a kicking game.
You can't win the big games without a top class kicker . It just doesn't happen.

Next year with two decent kickers in Maloney and Townsend we have a more realistic chance of silverware.

Are you talking short or long kicking? I think our short kick game is a strength now. Ennis has been superb close to the line. In terms of our long kicking game - that is shared between graham, robson, bird and ennis. None of these guys are great kickers but I dont think its as bad as what alot of people think.

What we will get is invaluable experience, and next year I honestly think we will have what it takes to go all the way.

A wise old man once said games are won on defence.It isn't 20s. Grind can get you there and both our halves have shown that, not afraid to man up.Closer the better.lf Greg Bird hadn't stuffed up we were a big chance.
