I rang Monday and told to call back today. What I was told is that they are using a mailing coy to send the memberships pack! There was problems with the receipts and temporary membership too. I hope they aren't too busy and over worked

Folks,

I apologise that I haven't been able to post here as regularly as I would have liked to. As you can imagine we are in overdrive at the Club trying to service the needs of our entire fan base. Even though resources are (as documented) a little stretch, I won't ever use that as an excuse to underachieve or under-perform. So here is a whirlwind response to a few of the questions posted most recently...

El Coco, will you post to Fiji or do I need an Aus address?

We certainly will mate. This season we are outsourcing the task of membership package postage to ease the physical workload of the staff at the Club. Anyone with an Australian address will receive their packs (in the next few days, as well) via the post.

We will send international packs separately from the Club.

The International Pack is just the same as a Shark Net with a little extra tacked on for postage. Unfortunately there are international trading rules that we needed to be mindful of but we still wanted to set people up with a way to stay connected with the Club overseas.

I spoke with Sharks a couple of times last week finalising my renewal plus addition of a couple of seats for the kids.
Not sounding like packs will be before trial. Members will get their names marked of a list to enter free.

There are three ways to prove you are a Member at the trial game this Friday, and whereby, obtain free entry into the ground:

1. Present your Temporary Membership card upon entry.
2. Present a copy of an email receipt of your Membership for those who signed up online.
3. Visit the Membership tent (in the South West Ticketek box) where there will be a list we can verify your Membership on and then you will have your hand stamped.

Obviously, there are some loopholes to the process, for example some passing on their cards to mates and then just get their names checked off the list. Unfortunately that's hard for us to police but, at the end of the day, people will just have to cop the queue if they proceed in that manner.

Ideally, I'd like to see Members out of their cars and through the gates within a matter of no longer than five minutes.

Who said this? It's untrue.

The Membership Desk is manned from Monday-Saturday with Sunday's being the only day we ask people to leave a message on the Membership Help Desk.

I rang on Monday at 1500, and asked to put thru to sharks league club, and was informed that no one was there today, and informed that they are only there between Tuesday - Saturdays ( though it was weird) and rang back today

Hmm damn I didn't mean to put foot in it. I apologies sincerly

If only they could. There would be alot of pissed of people not renewing their memberships the next season.

Indeed we have, Art!

Although I can't go into exact specifics on the matter, it's very encouraging that four weeks out from season kickoff we have surpassed revenue from the entire year prior to.

Memberships will continue to come in at a good rate until approximately Round 3 of the Season. If we get off to a hot start (as we had after Round 3 of last year) then Membership numbers will likely come in steady until Round 5. From there to Round 12 are where you can expect to get the last of your Membership sales. At that point you're already looking forward to the next push.

Keep up the good work, Sharks fans.

Has anyone got any of their membership stuff? The hats, lanyards, or the extra tie? Or the season guide magazine? Etc?

With thanks to mtk, I was given the name of a real troubleshooter at Sharks. A week and no reply email but within hours of a second email she has sorted it and fixed it. She deserves a raise.

Membership sorted thank you.

I expect to have quite a Sharks following over here in no time!

Hi Jards,

I am yet to receive my temporary pass for the trial game as a financial member even though I paid up in November last year. When I paid up I was told a letter would come out to me by mail with the temporary pass but despite ringing the club three times (one of these was speaking to you), I am still yet to receive anything. Don't get me wrong I am more than happy to pay the $10 entry fee but as a financial member (which has been confirmed to me everytime I have called the club) I should be entitled to free entry.

As it stands, I actually cannot make the trial on Friday nght but if I could go, I would not get in as a financial member.

Can you please let me know what is happening?

Cheers
Chad.
