kennedy has just seen that qld have some old props who will retire soon. while NSW have almost all of the good young props. screw him he doesnt think he is better than the likes of snowden or douglas so the chances of him playing better are very slim. no loss. get f$%^ked kennedy

I agree that you can't choose a state, it not like the NRL. If he wants to play for QLD let him go. Not sure he will make origin anyway and if he does he is a long way from standing out.

Ok, so we should just give players the choice between the blues and maroons? **** that! You play where your supposed to be eligible or you don't play at all.

I don't understand it at all either mate, just saying that we should be bagging the players not Queensland.

this is why origin is a fast, how the **** does that happened arh well, kenndey didnt spring to mind for me for origin

if you are born in nsw play footy in nsw, all of a sudden pow, i am queenslander, any one who supports this non sense needs there head checked,
wtf

I don't support it at all, as I said above I just hate copping all the abuse as a proud Queenslander, when really it's the players fault for not staying bloodly loyal!

the shoe is on the other foot W&F, they act like they have never done it before, they are just crying because they are ****ing **** and havent won a series for 5 years.

my question to you, in todays papaer, he and his family claim he is as "queensland as XXXX" and also, under the current rules, where you play your first game, he qualifies as a qlder...

would you guys really want a player playing for your state when he doesnt want to?
when he said he has only ever dreamed of playing for qld?

if you do, you can have him... our prop stocks are just as good, with or without him

"This isn't half-baked. You are either a Queenslander or you're not and I am," Kennedy said. "It was only when I went to Queensland that I started playing footy.

If he is eligible for NSW but wants to play for QLD the answer is simple, he doesn't get to play state of origin.

He's over rated anyway.

under the current rules, he played his first senior football in qld

but i agree, the system needs an overhaul... big time

and for the record, i dont think he would make either team

qld have petro, and after him shillington, scott, hannant, taylor...

nsw should take snowy tolman TLL and tim mannah this year

so good luck to him either way

as i stated yesterday snow it can get any clearer then that

see, i think thats bull****...

what if a player is born in nsw, and 6 weeks later, his family move to qld.
plays all his junior and senior footy for qld teams, comes through the titans/broncos/cowboys junior system, is a star in the making, has aspirations of being the next big qld player and then is forced to play for nsw because he lived their for 6 weeks.

that rule is crap, and should be laughed at, im laughing at it now.

HAHAHAHA

i like the first senior game rule, but its has grey area's that need to be outlined.

there are 2 current cases... kennedy and inglis, that the ruling should be made from..

Inglis, born in NSW, went to hunter sports high school, with the snow, and played for hunter sports high school.
yes, his first "senior" rep game was for qld, but he has played for a NSW school, in the arive alive cup...

Verdict: NSW

Kennedy... Born in NSW, moved to QLD when he was 10, played for a rugby union school, but also played weekend league for Ipswich.. high school footy and senior footy in QLD

Verdict: QLD

and sterlo was born in qld... whats your point?
how long did sterlo live in qld for? not long is the answer... the shoe is on the other foot now, the rule needs a change, but not the "you were born here" theory... thats bull****

the system needs a overhaul, incondents like this didnt really come up back in the 80's and even the 90's its only just recently cause of Inglis and Folou. what if the rule is its where you played your first junior footy NOT rep footy

sterlo's wiki..

born in Toowomba, raised in wagga, played his first football for wagga, signed by parra, only ever played for a nsw team (parra) and yet he should play for qld...

bull****

while this rule could somewhat work... i will give an example of where i think it fails again...

a young player i know currently playing 20's in a qld team.

born in campbelltown, played for a campbelltown team when he was 6, moved to qld when he was 7, has been brought through the juniors as a qlder, plays for qld 20's team and has nrl experience with a qld club, and only has aspirations to play for qld.
Verdict: QLD

its a grey area, and one that will always cause debate... maybe just common sense...

Inglis = NSW

Kennedy = QLD

no matter what rule they put in its not going to make all people happy, alot of NSW fans (myself Included) are just dirty that Inglis is playing for queensland and Not NSW. There has to be a easier way to rule on situations like this
