i have no problem with the concept.i don't see it as us vs them at all.i see 2 great sides going toe to toe.besides it wasn't as if the whitey's were totally white!(marshall, uate, petero...)

it seems to me that rugby league is making huge steps forward in this area.nice to see for a change.
as far as getting out of hand - i doubt that would happen.the game was played with great intensity and passion, which is what we want-i for one don't want to see a game that has the feel of a half arsed trial game.

Did any one else notice at the start of the game
When P.Gallen and G.Bird running down the tunnel together
Getting their photo taking with the trophie with big smiles on
Their faces like best mates.
How I long to see G. Bird back in the black white and blue,
I thought he was one best on the indigenous team.

On a sidenote, like last year, I still have serious reservations about the whole All Stars concept. Preston would have been appauled with some of the stories that will emerge in blogs over the coming days from those who were there. I don't want to be subjective, but am I the only person who somewhat feels that the whole concept does a better job of sparking racism then tackling it?

Na mate your not the only person, I can tell quite a few up this way feel the same.

I completey agree Jardy, although I am all for showcasing the brilliance of indigenous talent that has blessed our wonderful game, I can`t help feeling obliged to cheer for the Nrl All Stars, simply because I am white, and that makes me feel like a racist.

On another note, did anyone see Paul Gallen`s facial expression the seconds after the aboriginal war dance was done and they were right in his face? It was absoloute gold! hahahah.

Im not going to try and assume what he was thinking, but if you get the chance to see it again, have a look, I got a really good chuckle.

I thought Gal was disappointing in parts, but looked great when running onto those short balls. As much as I don't want to admit it, I'm starting to agree with Gould - he seems to be trying to do too much, resulting in those silly errors. I used to think Gould was just being a dick and raving nonsense, but I can see what he means (especially in a team like the All Stars). Maybe Gal feels obliged to pick up the workload for the Sharks considering our slump in form over the past couple years, but I feel he should probably ease of it a little for both his own benefit and the team's. Thoughts?

Anyway, was just an exhibition match so I'm not worried. Got nothing out of it apart from being glad we don't have Bird anymore.

Really? I didn't give a toss who won, I just enjoyed the game. Its an exhibition match, nothing was riding on it.

Gould is spot on , Gal demands too much of the ball , and tries to do too much , hopefully this year with Smithy here , Flanno will spell Gal for a few minutes each game .

Gallen does so much, because the other guys dont put there hands up enough to help.

Had Gals for first try and he pots the 2nd - Hate Josh Morris.

Almost didn't make it to kick off. If I had to see 1 more interpretive dance I was gonna bottle myself.

A very one sided event. Not very historically accurate either. I could of sworn there were more red jackets and musket fire..

Gallen loses the ball from trying to push passes that aren't on. Not because he is doing too many hit-ups, tackles or facials.
