Looks like our fantasy league is coming down to whoever has the captain that performs the best in the Final. I went with Van Persie, W&F went with Robben and SharkBoy played it tight with Villa. Should be interesting.

After the Sharks poor effort today, the World Cup fnal is all I have to look forward to at the moment. Can't wait. Been waiting so damn long to see Spain in a World Cup final. Bring it on!!

I rest my hopes of winning the fantasy league with the success of the Dutch in the final. I risked trading Cas for Stekelenberg before the semis because I thought he wouldn't let any goals in against Uruguay and that really hurt my team. That left me with 1 transfer and only .5 left in the bank. Not enough to get Cas back.

I have Kuyt, Robben, Sneijder, Heitinga, Stekelenberg and Van Bronkchorst in my team with only Iniesta, Villa and Pique from Spain. My chance at winning is really resting on Robben scoring 1 or even better 2 and then that he recieves double points and that it wasn't as a direct result of pique being there. Hardly stand a chance.

I'm staying up Sharky. Calling in for a sickie, this game could make me a lot of god damn money. Sure as hell more than I would for just one days work. Just started my first Corona of many for the night. Can't wait to see Torres crying!!!

I'm getting really excited for this game. The most excited I've been for a sporting event since possibly the Sharks v Storm in the 08 Finals. I think the game will go down to the wire. Someone will score past the 80th minute and win it for their respected team. But I would love for it to go to a shootout. That would just be epic!

Any word if Torres is starting? I hope not.

Haven't heard about Torres. If it goes to a shoot-out, I don't know if I'll be able to watch. I'll end up having a heart attack!

I'm the same, haven't been this excited about a sporting event since Sharks v Storm in the '08 semis.

I hope Pedro starts. I can really see Torres getting up for this game and the Dutch and their average at best defense wouldn't be able to contain an already superb attack. Here's to hoping Villa brakes his leg in the opening minute HAHAH!

Prevailing thought after the first 20 minutes: Spains away jersey is sexy as hell!

Well done to Spain. At some point during the last two weeks my angst towards Robben and his theatrics (he was never that bad at Chelsea) turned me against Holland even though I picked them to go to the Final once the group stage was done. Spain deserved that win today.

PS: Few things are better than seeing grown men cry when they lose things like this. (Translation: Sneijder is really making me giggle right now )

The Dutch simply forgot to play football this morning.

Van Bommel was a disgrace and van Maarwijk should've hauled him off and given someone else a go.

I agree with the BBC commentators that the Dutch side absolutely disgraced the legend of Johan Cruyff with that performance this morning.

They played old fashioned English football more than Dutch football this morning.

Mark van Bommel should hang the boots up right now as he is a washed up hasbeen.

Good performance by Spain accentuated by the rubbish performance of the Netherlands.

I love soccer but I must say....Thank heavens the World cup is over, this has been one of the most highly anticipated cups but one of the most disappointing aswell, cheating, bad refereeing and I mean really bad refereeing some of the teams showed poor sportsmanship, red cards galore.

That was just my oppinion, of course u guys may fully disagree with me and i respect that but everyone has different oppinions.
