So guys who should be the 2010 captain we havent really talked about it, lots to think about we have some young guys vying for positions these could push out a couple of incumbents if they get a chance so that needs to be thought about as well.

We also need to think about the future past 2010.

I did make it multiple choice as we need backup if someone has to play SOO etc

It could have been Gallen if he didnt gett arrested. Cov probably deserves it but its hard for a winger to be captain. Surely it will be Baz.

I think we need to look at the future not just 2010, and I would give the job to Tupou!!!

Future Captain. Luke Douglas. I'd like to see him take on the role after Barrett has done his service.

I say Toups and Douglas, its Bazz last year let him be number 2 and let him worry about getting the team around the park that's what he does best.

I like the idea of Dougy doing the job. Given that he plays 80 minutes he will always be on the field. Like Steve Price, leading from the front.

Good point Lumpy, though Price won't be captaining the Warriors next season - the job has been given to Simon Mannering. Mainly I think because Price is playing shorter spells these days and and spends a fair bit of time on the bench.

Will probably be Barrett, with Covell Vice.

Would like to see Douglas or Gallen but the 2nd option is not gonna happen.

I picked Barrett and Covell.

I'd like to see Douglas groomed to skipper in 2011 though. It just makes sense.

Props are the only position on the field pretty much guaranteed to not play a full game.

I've never understood making a prop (or wingers / fullbacks) captains.

I don't think captaincy is some paper reward for being a club man, but an important part of the game of Rugby League that should be done by the best man for the job in the best position. Should always be a half / hooker / back rower / centre in that order I reckon.
