Agreed man. We’ve got a tough 5 weeks. If we end up being 3/5 I think that’s decent. 4/5 though proves we’re right up there. We need to beat 2/3 from either the storm, panthers and donkeys.

I'd feel more confident if we didn't dish out that horror performance against the tigers.
Not sure I agree with that - feels like the finals were pretty important. Win some of those this is just another game.
With the context of previous results this is an important game though.

I know the media will be saying that Melbourne have players out if we beat them, but I don’t think their narrative looks that strong if we put them to the sword, 13+

I think we need a win here, but it wont say any of the things about us we want it to. The truest marker will be next week at magic round against the roosters. Big stage, big crowd, Roosters full strength (assuming) and humming. 2/2 the next two weeks and the teams confidence will be soaring.
We could we the next 5 games however once the semis come (assuming we make it) the noise will start all over again.

Sure, but there is noise that we can't even beat top sides now. It would be a good step to get the confidence now and shut them up till finals. If we go out in straight sets again though it will be two more steps backwards.

If we won this and were in the game until the 80th minute against the roosters and panthers I would be stoked. We need to stay with teams until the end of games and be within a shot. If we do that regularly we will start converting them.
