Yeah I think on a scale of potential scandals it’s at the lower end. Still very dumb, still let down the team.
The comments that he won’t play again this year are way over the top.

I'm only concerned about the team I have mates who are on the gear every weekend and they are great dudes. Agree let he who is free from sin cast the first stone. We all have shame files they just quietly get filed and don't make the news. Kid would be hurting real bad hope he learns some life lessons from it.

Yeh we are probably going over the top but I think a lot of it is just disappointment after the start to the year we've had.
On a different note, at least it allows us to try another half early in the season. Good to be prepared in case we have injuries in the halves in the back end.

There could be the potential for something special this year. Sometimes for that to come to fruition, sacrifices need to be made, which include going out and getting on it. He should know how much the team needs him, he should have realized that.

he was driving at twice the legal limit.
if i test pos to coke or booze at work its zero strikes. sacked on the spot, next chopper home, flights at your expense, and im on half the wage.
only total gronks (and we've had our share) get on a bender in the middle of a professional season when peak fitness and social image is literally your sole job.

Personally I don't think it's the end of the world or his career. It's super ****ing dumb though, especially from a bloke that wasn't getting much interest from other clubs before we threw him a bone. You'd think he'd appreciate the shot he's been given a little more... his dumb actions should attract some judgement and he deserves a fair serve of ass kicking.

Little mistake? He was 2.5x the legal limit man. It's a big ****ing mistake. There's a reason you aren't allowed to drive that cooked, and many have lost their lives or take the life of others learning that lesson.
That said, thank **** nothing worse happened. It will be a huge learning experience for him, and if he has his head screwed on he'll still well clear of the booze and gear moving forward.
He'll cop his ban and I expect him to be back with an absolute point to prove to make it up to his team mates.

One thing (among many) I don’t like is he was going to a team session whilst on or coming off the gear.
I don’t want other players thinking it’s acceptable or normal within the playing group.
Currently there has been what appears to be a big no d.ck head policy and no big trouble for a few years.
He has absolutely let his teammates down.
He was no doubt the deserved half’s partner for Nicho.
But given this times drugs (yes awaiting a second test but don’t kid yourself it’s positive or he would be jumping up and down already), driving significantly intoxicated whilst also coming off drugs, driving unlicensed, backed up with his previous disqualified driving license (for some reason) and a second time driving unlicensed.
Really not sure if he has used his last chance or if this will be his last chance? (Especially given from reports previously, they don’t need to make public the first positive drugs reading?)
One thing I know for sure any more stuff like this and I will be happy to see the back of him.
Which sucks as I have been really loving his football….
But he will cause more damage to the other players and club then whatever good he does on the field.
