Have never liked Mitchell. The guy is grubby and thinks he is bigger than the game. He is way overrated. Yeah, sure he has done some spectacular things, but he is not a great player in my book because he is way too inconsistent and goes missing.

I really wish he would get 12 weeks just to knock him down a few pegs. I can't stand listening to the garbage he spews out. He is a bad role model for our indigenous people going by his past indiscretions. Compare him to our fullback Will Kennedy. Great bloke, humble and is an excellent role model. I will take him any day over that buffoon

12 weeks might be a tad excessive mate haha.

Agree with you on the playing bit. Fantastic when on but he's way too inconsistent to be on big coin imo. I'd take Turbo, Ted, Edwards, Walsh, Will, and Drinky ahead of him. The cold reality is he isn't fit enough to be a fullback and is too lazy. He's a centre and a damn good one.

On the role model bit, not sure I can agree with that. I think he does a lot of things behind the scenes, especially for indigenous kids, that we don't hear about. For example

Last Tuesday, Mitchell and teammate Cody Walker met NSW Police for several hours, discussing what role he could play in helping quell youth violence in Dubbo and Moree.

“They’ve been helping us with work with Indigenous youth all throughout NSW,” NSW Police assistant commissioner Gavin Wood said. “They do it without any fanfare. They do it because they genuinely care. Can’t fault them.”

Don't doubt his deeds with helping out the indigenous etc HB, and of course that's very respectable and good, just think he sours much of that for me through all the other stuff....oh well none of us are perfect I guess....but Latrell just shut up and play good Footy. Maybe the Coach needs to put him on a media ban or something. It's obvious to me that Souths are not a happy club at the moment

I can tell you one thing. If I had a choice between Mitchell and Kennedy right now in my team, I am going Kennedy.

Random question - which player has played for the most nrl clubs?

I’ve heard it Tyran Smith with 7.

I always told my son Kyle he could break records, and I don’t want to hold him back. He’s at 4 now and Tigers are sniffing around for him

Haha - the Matty Johns show said last week that Blake Green is the only guy to play for 7 in the NRL era, since Tyran Smith’s 7 clubs spanned ARL / SL / NRL

There are quite a few who played for 6. Phil Blake, Adam Peek, Jeremy Latimore are a few. Probably others.

For current players Woodsy has him covered with 5… but for players who have actually gotten a game this year Lane, Peachey and Mann are also all on 4.

I’m probably missing plenty.

Need to get that 18th team in ASAP to drum up some demand for Kyle ;)

I recall reading or an interview with Henry peranara who went to be a referee played from memory for us us, storm , warriors and others. The longest contract he ever got was apparently one year, stayed at a couple for more but only on year to year contract. Always thought that was odd he was a squad filler nothing flash from memory
