Ah well - hes still in the game, they see something in him still.
To be fair, this was probably what was expected in the first place to let him develop. He performed better than expected and got a spot but (like the ball), he couldn't hold it.
I believe so - he has been 'waived' by the 49ers and lost his roster spot. All players are able to try and find a starting spot somewhere else (picked up on waivers). If not, then the 49ers can continue to develop him on the practice squad or release him.
He was always a work in progress - he looks likely to end up back on the practice squad to see if he develops further. The 49ers are struggling this year and all the coaching staff will be on notice; they have no room for experiments.
I hope he gets picked up on waivers with another team who...
While its probably been discussed here already - what's the difference with our situation and the Matt Lodge US experience? He was sacked and this was (seemingly) well prior to any 'due process'?
