I don't believe either of them are capable of playing a quality 80 minutes week in week out.

Quality 80 min hookers are very very sought after. That's why Ennis is such a loss.

If you want to talk about a waste, carrying a bench back (Beale)... is a waste.

Fortunately for Flanno it worked out a fair bit last year with niggling injuries / backs getting injured more than forwards for us during games.

Not sure how it can be described as a waste if it worked?

Pretty sure Seggy was playing 80 minutes for Penrith before he left.

Unless Seggy isn't up to really big minutes I'd have Nu over Brailey on the bench just for the extra utility Nu adds.

i thought the year seggy was the best 9 in the comp he was an 80 minute player

EDIT: just went through his stats in 2014, Kevin Kingston started at hooker then got dropped and seggy became an 80 minute player

I just think his effectiveness as an impact player was something we could sorely use, particularly with the changes this year.

And if it gives us the opportunity to give Brailey experience even better.

If he can play 80 minutes quality great.

I still wouldn't want to carry Beale or any back on the bench ideally. However with the interchange/concussion rules it may be the new way of doing things, time will tell i guess.

Only reason to play both is if it means losing brailey otherwise. Id rather get them both some time so we get a chance to see if he can live up to the hype.

He could be the next cam smith or a run of the mill flop, but id rather find out he sucked in our colours than see him destroy the comp in another teams.

Matt Scott - Anthony Watmough 2.0, getting a lucrative superannuation package.

Scott was an absolute gun a season or two ago.

I was going to say that's a very harsh comparison but checked stats first. I was shocked to see Watmough played a minimum of 20 games every year at Manly over his last 9 years there. No chance I would have guessed that.

People may have long forgotten, but Watmough was a star in his prime. I'll never forget his Origin game 3 performance in 2009, it was the second most dominant game from a forward I've seen, after Gallen's 2011 game 2.
