Our forwards are dads army and will continue to say it - sad to say but Gal, Lewis, Heino all should retire and the fifita's are screwing the club...the only time we look to threaten comes from our young brigade in Holmes and Bird. Time to bring in Gardner, murphy, Gagan and hOuma...unfortuntaly we don't have any young forwards coming through....

It wasn't rocket science to put the Titans to the sword with a lethal set of 6 or repeat .
4 point lead FMD .

There were only two people in that crowd of 9000 odd who wanted to take the two points.

Seriously, the only times I would look at taking the two would be to take us in front (except for 0-0 scoreline) or to make an eight point lead or a kick to actually win the game in the dying minutes. Every other time you go for the try.

What was the official attendance.... sorry I was taking down an Election Erection at the local polling booth tonight and watched a somewhat delayed replay.

'Twas just over 9000 Fitz, not sure of the exact figure.

They included 3000 members ticket holders that weren't actually there .
The ground would hold 22,000 max and it WASN'T half full

No I'm not.

Robbo is a good defender but shouldn't be our half...Ennis proved he can play half last year at the dogs and can direct the play in the middle.

We need it big time....and I don't want Gallen directing our play - he is **** as a captain and has a losing mentality trying to take the two at the most inappropriate moments.

Totally agree

Yep, great choice here. With the number of penalty goal attempts tonight, I thought I was watching Union at times.

Positives:

Jack Bird - Great debut
Valentine Holmes - Great game. Started to go looking for the ball.
NSW cup - two games in a row. Murhpy scores again, not sure how good he was, but I expect he was probably one of our best
David Fifita - Great game, until a late dropped ball, but that happens.
Matt Prior - Solid game. No errors, good offload and I think he may have actually got more than 20 mins.
Gallen and Fifita - I think they tightened up their games in the last two weeks. A.Fifita still gives away a silly penalty, but I don't think he has dropped the ball in the last two games. Gal seems to have pulled back from the play making.
New Sponser - Back of Jersey sponsor is a step in the right direction.

Negatives:

Take the two - Come on boys. Do you really have that little confidence in your ability? We would have won that game easily if we had attacked the line instead of taking the two every time. I think there was only one time that I would have taken it.
Ball playing forwards - Tis confusion!! Too many forwards who think they are ball players, but maybe that is a result of no confidence in your halves.
Multiple decoys running into the same gap - How many times did we see two sharks players run into each other???
Mind numbingly dumb errors - Tupou do not try and offload the ball on your own 30m line when you are in front. Do not ever offload in your own half. Wade Graham....oh god that was soul crushing.
Structure in attack - No one seems to know what their roll is.
Jeff Robson - Is not a first grade quality half. He may be an ok hooker. He may even go alright at 5/8 next to a good half, but if this guy is controlling our team, we will get the spoon. I will start the campaign today. BRING IN MURHPY. He was the second best player in QLD cup last year, what more can he get from playing NSW cup. We keep looking for a halfback to buy, maybe we have him.

I could keep going with the negatives, but I think that is probably enough. I want to try and focus on the top part.

WHEN WILL THIS STOP!!!

How is Flannos form in the press conference???"we pushed too many passes"??? No ****** Sherlock. I want to know if it is HIS plan to play ONE OUT footy or if the players just dont play to script. Every set of 6 is 3 or 4 up for kick or if we are really creative an inside ball. EVERY ****ING SET! My sons under 10s side passes more before the line than these guys. It surely cant be our game plan can it? You look at every other side and they all test the opposition. All we do is run at them - nothing compelling about that and makes us easy targets. I cant remembers a sweeping back line play last night?? Cant remember the forwards stringing any passes together as they all just pop the ball under the arm and run, only to try to throw a pass when there are 4 defenders on them! Just childish under 8 crap that has been going on too bloody long. So I want to know FLANNO - is this your plan or do the players make it up when they go on to the field? If so - they need to go starting with GAL.

A. Fifita needs a spell in reggies to work on his ball security - in my eyes he played a big part in losing us the game!
L. Lewis is no longer up to first grade standard. He is slow, and one dimensional!
P. Gallen - seems to just want to win the metre competition and is playing for himself. Gal - "GET OUT OF THE WAY"!! There is absolutely no need for him to be taking 2 hit ups in any set!!!
M.Gordon - again dropped a ball in pressure conditions. Holmes has proved he is ready to step up - give him the number one jersey until Barba comes back. Then I would have 1. Barba 2. Gordon 5. Holmes (swapping with Barba during the game
J. Bird - just let him play. Loved the way he fired up when we decided to take 2 instead of putting the Titans to the sword. Whilst I didnt hold much faith in us actually scoring, they still would have had to absorb more pressure and they were out on their feet! Very poor decision
G. Beale - looks like he wants to run, but because of our 4 hit ups for a kick strategy, he never (ever) gets the ball with momentum behind him. We may as well just run back rowers out there.
D. Fifita - definitely outplaying his bro - but again ball security for me is an issue
J. Robson - is doing his best and whilst not the best number 7 in the comp, he is our best.
M. Ennis - feel sorry for this dude. Comes form a grand final team to a team with half the amount of passion and drive. he must be asking himself whats the point!
All the others are really just holding their own!

SUGGESTION: How about holding a Fans Forum now Lyally/Flanno??? You promised all of us change - yet we are 0-4 and still without a major sponsor? We are all a bit sick and tired of writing the season off in round 4 every year! And next week we face the Roosters and the thought of Blake Ferguson scoring a hat-trick on us makes me ill!!!

Just over it! Rant over!

I know it is petty but dead set, last night the ground announcer was so annoying. I know we choked but it felt like he lost us the game. Every time he would say something, he would do something bad. Saying "Gordon doesn't miss from there" when he makes a kick right from in front. **** me, just about everyone in the crowd could make that kick. I also don't need to be told that the "ball is in flight" when I'm watching the ****ing ball right in front of me. Seriously pissed me off so much.

If the club thinks that having a "cool" announcer to say crap during the game will increase crowd attendance, then they have rocks in their head. I go to the footy to watch the game, not to hear some prick commentate over it. If I wanted to hear rubbish during the game, I'd just talk myself.

About the actual important things, I think Val had his best game in FG last night. I thought Ennis got really involved in dummy half stuff and the lead up to his try was great. Really pumped me up. Hopefully next week against the Roosters is respectable, though I wouldn't hold my breath.

Its a shame that your last sentence sort of sums us up at the moment. We as supporters are now thinking more about not getting completely annihilated rather than winning games. That's the mindset I've got myself in already in readiness for the Roosters game.
We have enough talent in this squad to be ultra competitive in this comp but it will never happen with the structures in place and a coach without a real idea of how to correctly manage this squad

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. I'm just pumped to see us win a game, that is how desperate things feel. We have no excuses this year, everyone is back and we are playing so poorly. I feel like going to Sharks games are some sort of drug that I keep going back to, it has hurt me so many times before but I just need to see a win, just need that hit and then we lose again and then I get pissed off. Oh well, by law of averages if I keep going to games, they'll win won that I'm at eventually :(

Wont be able to attend another game under Round 9 i think it is. Saturday 5:30 vs Warriors. I think we have 2 home games between now and then (Newy Souths)

I left the game last night feeling incredibly disappointed. I was left bewildered how we can take the 2 to increase our lead from 2 to 4, then the next set finally actually throw the ball around. That is in total contradiction to the notion of playing it safe by taking the 2. When we took the 2, our ONLY job was to run the ball get tackled and get the ball up the titans end. NOT to try to score a try from half way.

Both the decision to take the 2 (4 times!!!!) and the choices in that 76th minute lost that game. It was there for us to win.

Throw in the lazy try to Taylor and Roberts first whereGordon left it to go dead but forgot to shield it!

Post game me and Gards were out the front of the stadium and Wade walked past and he looked very disappointed. I dont blame him. Yes his pass lost the game for us, but the decision making from above put us in such a position.

If we took the tap we either score a try or they get the ball back in field position that favours us
