Nope, it was really poor, no excuses for that. I could forgive him if we'd been defending the line for 4 or 5 sets and we were out on out feet, but that wasn't the case. Very poor.

he wasn't in a position to take that 'risk' though, he should have been guarding the ball to make it a hell of a lot harder for the attacker to get the ball down but he wasn't, no excuses in my opinion

That's a fair point, it was definitely badly executed.

when a fullback is shepherding the ball over the line he should at least be right behind it not to the side of the damn thing schoolboy error that a first grade fullback should not make. Roberts had to run 20 metres to get to that ball even has fast as he is he should never have scored.

Just saw the replay, gal didn't want to go for the 2 at the end, you could see him say something along the lines of 'why go for the two for'
Bird was filthy

Yeah snow saw it live and gave me the heads up cause I was ripping into Gal. Gal twice looked at his playmakers to give him an option to go with but none of them did.

The boys have 0 confidence - once Flanno loses Gal he loses the whole team can't be far now cause Gal wants a premiership he has to see Flanno can't get him one.

I witnessed Flanno indicate to the trainer take the 2 as he was sitting on the bench. Right near the action.

I cannot fathom how he has the gall to indicate or suggest that it wasn't solely his decision.

Laughable.

He was 100% happy to take the 2... At the start of the match (which was just as ****ing bad) and at the end.

His mindset is killing this team.

Flanno is Ricky Stuart mark 2 - It's always someone else's fault and there is always an excuse.

flanno needs to earn some respect back and make himself accountable for that, not the trainer

End of the game I saw flanagan shake his head and storm up the tunnel, I hope at least 1 person in the lower ET yelled at him that he only has himself to blame.

No DJ I won't forget that. Absolutely inexcusable, I have no idea what Flash was thinking. You put the ball dead, no questions. Wade's pass was bad but that was a woeful play from Flash. And in the past I have been one of his admirers. When he first came to us the comparison with Gards was amazing. He was so much safer, he could hold the ball, and you always knew when a bomb went up Flash would be there to catch it.

Now its back to when Gards was fullback, heart in the mouth stuff. Yes we would have had to defend another six tackles in our 20 but it's better than scoring a try.

Flash must not be picked at Fullback against the Roosters - has to be Holmes.

I find it to be the very personification of the players mindset, Chaddles. It's the equivalent of taking the penalty kicks, of putting Wade in at 5/8 because Flanno didn't want to risk a rookie, of the up the middle till the last tackle, then kick and hope the opposition make a mistake mentality.

Every play, every tactic, every decision is conceived from a position of desperation, a mentality that is ground into every players psyche using the slender remains of their backbones, on a weekly basis by the coaches decisions.

It's why great players look bad. Why promising players have left, or all but given up. I genuinely think that if we played a positive brand of football, Gordon would be amongst the games best. Once again last week, our best attacking plays involved Gordon.

Thanks for sharing that... I find it incredibly disturbing that Flanno is being dishonest with the players and the fans. I guess covering your arse becomes a permanent habit after a couple of years...

Does anyone know if Flanno even bothers to attend Jets games to view the talent first hand .
Has he even met Murphy ? (joking sorta )
Last weekend without Barba against the Titans was the ideal time to blood a 24 year old half to see what he could do in first grade , whilst the opposition was blooding an 18 year old .
Flanno is a negative , safety first , stats and percentage driven type of coach . Totally risk evasive .
His negativity stressing and worry would be affecting the players also .
All those smiles on dials whilst doing attacking drills we got to see at training prior to the start of the season , never see the light of day until 10 minutes or less before the breaks . How about 25 minutes before the breaks .
Let the boys have fun , like in the 9's . I'd rather loose whilst having a go .
Bronkoes , Roosters , Cowboys games where magical and for one reason , no shackles and it could be argued we had a weaker squad at those times .
For faaacs sake have a go .
My rant over too .

I have a feeling that Flanno opted for the 2 points to wind down the clock, less so than to get 4 points infront but alot can still happen on the field in 5 mins and when you are the Sharks it nearly always happens and it did
The crowd groaned when they pointed to the sticks and I think every fan at that stadium knew we were far from safe and likely to get scored against

I swear we must have one of the worst records for intercept try's scored against us. Since the Flanno days it feels like it occurs every second game and nearly always at Remondis
With Kimmorly you could sorta cop it occasionally because he was quality and generally speaking knew what he was doing but with this mob it's become a running joke that all other teams are in on

Flat attack everyone next to each other , we don't get deep in attack hardly ever and it's sad , because we do have players that could create their own line breaks with space .

It's easy to criticise in hindsight.

Say we took the tap instead of going for the two and Graham still throws an intercept pass, we'd all be on here saying "there was only five minutes left, why didn't they take the two and wind down the clock!? **** Flanno! **** Gal!" Etc etc.

I agreed with going for the two. Steal 30 seconds from the clock and gain two points, then have a set of one outs and put up a bomb to try and force an error. What I don't agree with is Graham spreding the ball out wide, that was waaaay to risky as we found out. When you're barely in the lead with minutes to go, avoid the sideline at all costs. So what if Feki has space to move, he could easily been bundled over the sideline and then they have a scrum at half way.

Hopefully Flanno's realised Graham's not a 5/8 and gives Murphey a run this week.
