it is not a bad thing that teams no that we have money, it is even better that none of the remaining halves are worth that coin

in order of preference, I go for Maloney on a 2-3 year deal. this gives connor tracey a few more years in the 20's and maybe a year in nsw cup. Maloney is my number 1 choice.

number 2 is hodkinson. he isn't flashy, but his kicking game is on point and his goal kicking is top notch. the only problem then is what happens to young connor.

number 3 is aiden sezer. good kicker, a goal kicker and a genuine play maker, the only problem is, his game is similar to barba's which might be more harm than good.

number 4 is sandow. I would have Sandow a lot higher on the list due to his natural talent, but it is about unlocking his talent consistently and also his off field problems are similar to barba. I actually think a barba/sandow combination would be just about the most entertaining in the competition, but I just don't know if we can have 2 "risks" as our starting halves

wildcard: Matty Smith (wigan warriors) has a huge boot on him and a bit of a running game.

other options: Townsend and Isaac John, but that is bottom of the barrel stuff

We have a need, the talent is there, we have the money. As I've said before don't care if we pay overs, we're desperate for a decent halfback. Also doubt we see the best of Barba until he has a decent half so it's double the reason to get it done regardless of the cost.

Just about agree with all you said there within highish end reasonable cost

Maloney is my first choice, Hodkinson is 2nd. Sezer isn't an option now & I won't ever support Sandow as an option.

You think Hampton would want to join us to get some first grade. But Storm have him for another year I think.

Yeah just did a search and found it. It will be interesting to see how all this plays out with the top halves all coming off contract.

I think Hodko would be a great mix with Barba. We're begging for a half with composure, long kicking game and ruthless competitiveness. All things trent brings to the table.

Not knocking Maloney though, im a massive fan of his.

I wish a signing would happen qik, but rekon Maloney and hodgo will all back themselves to perform and further drive $$$$ and not commit for atleast 2-3 months .. Sandow and seezer will committ qik to a club to secure their future.

I've been reading Isaac John's name here a lot lately. Fair player, but doesn't have a long kicking game. Like, at all. Doesn't suit us if we're going to have Barba there in the 6.

That is exactly my preference in the exact order,

Maloney is definitely number 1!

With the Roosters apparent plan to play Hastings at 5/8th Maloney the Roosters might be less likely to put up a fight to keep him, unlike the Dogs who I presume will want to keep Hodko. Off topic but Lichaa didn't look real flash on the weekend, slow service and some shocking passes. Not missing him so far !

I think it has been mentioned before but the problem we face is that we will be competing with manly for halves especially if the rumours are true that foran is a eel, they'll have a stack of money and will be looking at getting 2 halves

They will have to choose if they want to play under flanno or toovey. Easy decision for me.

Neither.
